Our story begins from a mountain that is worshipped by the villages nearby reason being a legend passed down from generation to generation the legend of a man who once was feared by the gods and demons alike.
No being in existence was above him his fists shattered worlds and his rage swallowed stars his name was Elotl feared being killed, gods and demons joined forces to kill this man the battle lasted for 300 years which caused a lot of bloodsheds however realizing that they cannot kill him they managed to seal him away.
On the brink of being sealed away, he vowed to return and have his revenge in order to never let this man resurrect the gods hid the seal in a mountain (ever )filled with monsters and beasts.
Now 4000 years have passed since then a small village named nako which is located near the mountain the yearly ceremony is about to begin in which the villages come near the mountain to offer sacrifice to Elotl to keep them safe from evil
three people are selected from every village as a sacrifice to be released in the mountain one such person was Subaru a young man who lost everything became a thief and was caught by the village guards he was taken to the village chief who decided that he will be offered as a sacrifice as they were shot on sacrifices unhappy with this decision Subaru tried to flee the scene only to be attacked by an arrow that injured his leg.
As he stood on the ceremonial platform, he was having flashbacks of his life about his glory days and how he was betrayed by his most trusted ones. he lost everything even his so-called love. lost in pain and despair he resorted to doing shady things in order to get himself back up again but now that seemed impossible as he was about to be sacrificed.
The prisoners are released on the mountain fighting for there life running from dangerous beasts the other two prisoners are killed by a beast watching this Subaru realizes that his time is up he is about to die with an injured leg he cannot outrun the beast neither does he has the strength to fight it.
In a loss of hope, Subaru goes into despair with failures of his life flashing right before his eyes Subaru in rage screams "I WANT REVENGE" suddenly a light flashes in front of him he opens his eyes and realizes that he is in a pitch-black room Subaru screams "HELLO is anyone there".
suddenly he hears a very sinister voice calling for him Subaru starts walking not knowing which direction he's going he just follows the voice after walking for quite a while he sees a light thinking maybe this the way out he starts walking towards it as he gets close he realizes its not a door but a person he sees someone resting in purple-black clothes
He asks "are you the one who's been calling me" the person in purple-black cloak replies "yes I have been waiting for someone like you for MILLENNIUMS Subaru"
Subaru asks "how do you know my name and who are you? do you not know how dangerous this mountain is" the person replies,
"I know I have been here for as long as human civilization has existed and it's not just your name that I know about, I know everything about you Subaru, you come from a planet called earth you came here when you were 17 years old,
you have lived a life of a failure on earth and when you were teleported to this world you thought maybe you'll be able to accomplish something in this world but you were betrayed by your own comrades even the girl that you thought loved you left you in despair"
hearing this Subaru is stunned he asks him frustratingly "who are you? how do you know so much about me? even my so-called comrades didn't know about me being from another world I have never told anybody about it so how do you know?!"
the person in black cloak replies "I am Elotl, the knowledge that I possess is something no being can fathom I have been sealed here for millenniums, I have lost my body the only thing that remains of me is a fraction of my soul just like you, I too desire revenge but it seems I cannot get rid of this seal that has been placed upon me every time I try to break it, I lose a fraction of myself now the only thing that remains is this small fraction of my soul"
hearing this Subaru is in complete shock he says "I thought you were just some made-up legend I never thought that you were rea"l
Elotl replies "I don't blame you I have been here for at least 4000 years I wouldn't be surprised if people have already forgotten about me"
Subaru replies "certainly, people outside don't know much about you except for you being a godlike being who was feared by gods and demons".
"do you wish to get out of this mountain and exact revenge"
"yes"
"then I shall grant you my soul and my powers except me and merge with my soul you help me get my revenge, ill help you, get yours".
"I accept".
