Darkness, all I saw is darkness. I kept screaming for light over and over. My throat cracked and numb. And in that moment it appeared to me, a vision of some kind, a vision of me in a city, disappearing and reappearing. Unable to speak I just sat there staring on what I'm doing. It kept going, until the background changed, fires engulfing the buildings, cars abandoned and a person standing through all that rubble with blood scattered all over his hands and face.
The man then disappeared, and reappeared right in front of me. I didn't notice it at first, or I didn't want to notice but, the man looked awfully like me. He then looked at me with his wide eyes, as if he had just realized what he's done. His eyes were full of regret and misery. The man then opened his mouth and screamed at the top of his lungs. His ear puncturing tone deafened me. While he was screaming, the city behind him then crumbled to the ground.
(Alarm ringing)
I woke up in my room with sweat all over my body. Not remembering my dream nor anything for that matter. All i know is that my name is Shinichi. I then heard a sweet female voice that calmed and woke me. "Shinichi!" She called out to me, I walked diligently downstairs looking to see who it was. As I was walking down the stairs, I noticed that the morning was really sunny, the sunlight peeking through our windows and doors, like it's a perfect morning.
I then headed towards the kitchen shaking. I don't know the reason why I was shaking but it made my blood move faster.
As I entered the kitchen, I saw mom smiling while the sun carefully touched her face. Her beautiful smile, laugh and voice made my day even brighter.
Somehow I felt really happy as If I was glad that she was there.
"What was I getting nervous for?"
I thought to myself.
"Shinichi, you're gonna be late for your first day in school you should eat breakfast quickly"
she said to me while smiling. My eyes teared up when she smiled at me,
"I'm so glad you're here mom"
I mumbled to my self.
"What are you mumbling about? You're not high are you?"
She said to me while looking confused.
"Nothing mom"
I said while smiling. She then looked at me with a suspicious face.
I ate my breakfast and wore my uniform as quickly as I could, for I don't want to be late on my first day. As I was heading out I looked back at my mom while she was cleaning the house, I then saw her standing there. Her eyes were lifeless and empty, but with an instant she switched back like a robot and smiled at me
"Be safe Shinichi!"
She said to me.
Having such a nightmare even though I couldn't remember. I guess it made me imagine stuff.
I then arrived 5 minutes before the scheduled bus to arrive, i looked at the surroundings for I feel as if I've never seen this street before. While looking around I got distracted by a beautiful garden right across the bus stop.
My body then naturally approached the flowers that bloomed under the sun. Sunflowers, tulips lilies all of them arranged so diligently and perfectly that it looked so uncanny.
The sunflowers are facing me directly, like it's an eye of something, as I was taking a closer look at the sunflower, the time turned 7:00, and immediately after, the bus arrived and not even a second late. When I entered the bus the atmosphere felt odd. It's as if no person is actually there. Every passenger was perfectly seated, not too close nor too far, and no one seems to notice each other's existence. The tv monitors on the bus then turned on.
"Breaking news. Another case of lizard like creatures appearing in the city of Minaki has been reported. Officials say that these monsters has been abducting humans in the past month. Ah- arh I've been contacted by the producers that the president is giving a statement right now"
The tv then flashed a little bit as the president walked up the podium, the president's appearance seemed off to me. He looks like he doesn't belong among all of the people around him.
The president opened his mouth "I'm Yoshida Eijie, and as president of this country I have made an organization to get rid of the monsters that's been roaming not just in Minaki City but everywhere. They've been formed 6 months ago, but is currently under training."
He then looked at the camera "We shall get rid of the intruders in our planet. We can't let monsters live here with us" he said to the conference. People applauded him and he proceeded to bow and walk of the podium.
The reporters were curious, on what he planned, as an organization. As they were replaying the clip, his voice stricken me. It sounded so off. Although he sounded human and he looks like a human. He's definitely not huma-.
As the thought of it popped in my head A student sat next to me.
"Hey we're wearing the same uniform!" He laughed
"Wait are you a transferee? I've never seen you before" he asked while leaning his face near mine
"Y-yeah" I answered while feeling uncomfortable
"Since we're schoolmates! Ohhh! Possibly classmates, I'll introduce myself to you. My name is Shuujin! How about you?" He's eyes shone as he asked me
"Y-yeah! My name's Shinichi" I answered him.
"Ohhhh! Shinichi, like Detective Conan!??? Speaking of Detective Conan, do you watch anime?" He asked while his voice's getting louder.
"Yeah I do watch it!" I answered while wearing a smile on my face"
"What's your favorite anime?" He asked me. But he then followed up with "Mine's KO-NO-SU-BA!" He threw his arms like, he's punching something"
"Mine's boku no pico, You should check it out!" I then laughed afterwards
"Ohhhh Boku no pico? Sure! I'll watch with my sister later!" He exclaimed excitedly
I was about to tell him no, when the bus stopped.
I arrived at the school just as the bell rang. So I quickly ran to get out of the bus. As I step out, hundreds of students calmly walked inside the campus, without even bothering to communicate with anyone, they just walked. I entered the campus with them, and with that I felt an intense lingering stare behind me. I was afraid that it was the delinquents, eyeing me up for I was new in the school, so I readied myself to look, back. As I was in action of looking behind me, I smelled some scented rose perfume, with a mix of vanilla.
They were Girls!
I guess they were eyeing me this whole time? I then laughed. They each tried to introduce themselves. I was overwhelmed, "their perfumes smells so good" i muttered while turning red. Shuujin then joined in and introduced himself to the ladies but no one listened.
I quickly then snapped out of my pervy antics, as I felt that same feeling again.
These girls weren't the only one who's eyeing me. I quickly walked into the building, and headed towards my classroom.
The sun pierced through the halls as I walked, leaves then fell outside the classroom, leaving shadows as it moved.
As I was nearing my designated classroom a student with red hair then passed me. That stare again came back, and it ran throughout my spine. I quickly looked at where the student would be, but as I leaned backwards, he was gone.
I entered the classroom with an unusual cautious attitude. Those eyes weren't terrifiying at all, but it has the feeling like of being sniffed out by a predator.
The classroom's vibe helped me forget the feeling of being watched. Everyone was smiling talking, and as I walk in people quickly started talking to me.
Everybody was extremely friendly, it wasn't long until I became friends with all of my classmates. Shuujin then entered the classroom, while breathing heavily
"Shinichi, why'd you leave me with those girls".
He then walked towards me,
"they almost killed me saying that I was hiding you. Moron!"
he then laughed
"if I was in your shoes, I'd date all of them!"
he said to me while looking smug. While me and shuujin was talking, my eyes fixated on a student sitting near the window, the sun shining upon his face and the wind from the window, blowing against his air. He then crossed his legs together and leaned near the window, his hair slowly dancing with the wind.
He looked so cool, that I cant help but to cross my legs too. His eyes then met with mine, he then smirked at me, and proceeded to stand up and walk.
He then leaned against my chair
"Did I look cool?"
He said to me while smiling wide. I tried to hold my laughter but it eventually slipped up. He then slammed his hands on my desk and said
"Why are you laughing!? I practiced all of that for hours!!".
He then stood up and showed his hand,
"btw, I'm kochu, nice to meet you".
I then shook his hands and said introduced myself as shinichi.
"Good morning class"
the teacher said to us as she entered the room. We all then stood up and said
" Good morning, ma'am Ivy"
she then followed up with
"thank you, sit down"
after she said all of that she then looked at me and said
"ohh, you've already met the transferee. Can you please introduce yourself to me?"
I then stood up
"my name is Shinichi, uhh- I transferred here from..."
I then realized that I don't know where I transferred from.
" I- I don't know where my previous school was"
i said to the teacher. The whole class laughed in confusion,
Shuujin then said
"Kochu also said that exact thing on the first day".
Ms Ivy then looked at me, directly in the eyes and said
"well then, shinichi meet me after class".
I sat down, trying to think where I studied before. But my mind just kept going back to when I woke up earlier. They were blank, but fragments of something is popping up, but it's unclear.i can't remember any of it.
I can't remember anything before today.
