Chapter 24 - Epilogue

"What do the hell do you mean!" Grall shouted as he pushed Jarada, the source, against the wall. His hands clutched the meticulous white suit and held the weakened being in place.

"I meant what I said." Jarada stared past Grall, his eyes on the pool of water that stood not to far away.

Grall followed Jaradas eyes and bit his tongue to keep quiet. He had spent several years traversing the spirit world. He traveled through all thirty layers and fought all kinds of creatures just to get to this point.

Upon arrival to the void, a place that any other soul would fear to traverse and the place all souls return to be born once more, Grall had learned a great deal of things. One being only a fraction of that time had passed by in the material realm, four years to be exact. That wasn't what bothered Grall through, it had been something he thought he took care of while alive.

As Grall stared into the pool, he saw his brother, Grodak, supporting red skin with black stripes and horns on top of his head. It wasn't the physical change that bothered Grall, he could care less what Grodak looked like. It was the source of this change.

"I am sorry, Grall." Jarada said as he stared into the pool. "Grodak was the one who unknowingly did this to himself."

Grall let the weakened Jarada go as he stared at the pool. His brother had not only been the one to take his life. He had also taken the being that gave rise to his death. Grodak had now become a true form of The Reaper.

"Is there anyway I can help him through this?"

Jaradas eyes, for the first time since Grall arrived, shot from the pool of water to Grall. "There is, but," Jarada seemed to hesitate for a moment, but only a moment, "someone must take your place in the spirit realm for you to leave. Its the only way now that the veil has been repaired."

The scene in the pool churned and swirled to reveal a young halfling elf. Grall knew of this halfling, he had always known of him. Before him, in the pool of water, stood his son, Drillohiem, God of war.
