It had started raining now so Sebastian was stood on the dock with an umbrella staring at the submarine, listening to the sound of the rain bouncing off it. Sebastian was bored, he waited for Theodore to mend the bottom of the vessel where the coins had left a dent the day prior. Sebastian sighed as bored sigh and looked out towards the sea. Because it was raining the water fell from the sky only to land on the bigger pool of water that was the sea. The rain sent ripples into the sea, making the cloud covered sun wobble in the reflection of the water. Sebastian kicked the side of the Harlequin and as on command, Theodore emerged moments later. He lifted his Scuba helmet and looked annoyed.
"Oi, I'm trying to fix this don't dent her even more" Theodore nagged. His ginger hair wet with a mixture of saltwater and rainwater.
"I don't mean to but I'm bored." Sebastian winned like a young child.
"Well you can either wait there or in the submarine and listen to me fixing her"
Sebastian did what Theodore suggested and went inside.
Sebastian found it cosy in the Harlequin, he could see why Theodore liked it. He filled the kettle up and put a tea bag inside what seemed to be the only mug on the submarine. When he sat down on the beanbag he felt and heard and saw the work the Theodore was doing in order to fix his beloved submarine. With his tea sat on the floor next to him Sebastian started to write using a pencil and paper that he had previously found on Theodore's worktop.
Dear Cosette
Oh how I miss you, I will make my way back to you as soon as possible, don't worry. I have found a boy, a local around the same age as us, willing to help me get to you on his submarine. I sit in the very submarine waiting for the boy to fix it. I am sitting here thinking of you, listening to the rain reminds me of when we were young and I would comfort you from the storms. Here in Darmhallow. Now, I know that I am far from you physically but you are in my heart. I will see you soon.
As soon as you get this letter hide it from everyone.
My love always,
Sebastian.
Sebastian wrote this as he listened to the rain. He didn't want to tell the mechanic who was hammering the Harlequin the real reason that he needed to go to King's Gate. He will walk to the village to see if there is a postal service so he could get his message to her. He folded his letter and put it in his coat. He reached for his tea when the banging stopped.
