Annabelle's POV
"So tell me, how was your first training?" my grandfather asked.
"It was great," I replied. "Richard taught me a lot of defence skills and tomorrow we will move on to weaponry."
"That's good!" my grandfather clapped his hands together, and a maid walked into the throne room.
"Get the tray!" he ordered the maid, who left his presence immediately.
"Grandpa, what tray do you speak of?" I inquired.
"You will know soon enough, just be patient," he smirked a bit. I bit my lips slightly in anticipation of what this mystery tray could contain.
"My King, the great seer, has arrived should I send her in?" the guard inquired.
"Of course." My grandfather chuckled. The guard rushed to get 'the seer' while my grandfather kept on chuckling.
"A seer? What for?" I asked.
"Aenea is the greatest seer in Firce. Her powers are amazing and she has been asking about you so I invited her over for the day." My grandfather said. "Maybe she might look into your destiny."
"Okay." I smiled. This girl never imagined she will meet a seer before so I was excited.
"Glory to King Elias, may you live long! May the legacy of Firce continue to grow and may your enemies eat dust!" a woman announced as she stepped into the throne room. She wore a simple white gown and a pair of slippers.
"Aenea, I welcome you to the palace." My grandfather said. "I hope your journey was smooth."
"It was smooth as always, my king." Aenea smiled before resting her blue eyes on me. "This must The long-awaited Princess Annabelle, our princess."
"Yes, she is." My grandfather chuckled.
"Greetings." I was about to curtsy to her, but she stopped me.
"No! Please don't embrace me by courtesy me, princess." Aenea smiled. "You are the princess and I'm only a servant so that means you are not supposed to show any courtesy to me."
I nodded my head to show my disapproval. "I'm sorry but I don't see things like Aenea, don't forget you are an elder to me and my mom has taught me how to show my respect to all elders," I said with a firm voice but Aenea smiled at me instead of correcting me.
"You are Queen Indra's daughter. She said the exact thing when we first met."
A smug appeared on my face. "I'm glad that I still have her attitude."
"Me too," my grandfather said.
Aenea looked around the room for a minute. "Your Majesty, how is Richard?"
"He's alright," he replied to her. "I just hope so."
"I want to see him, there's a message for him." Aenea looked quite disturbed. I wonder what message she had for Richard.
"Aenea doesn't mind if I ask, but what is the important message you want to deliver to Richard?" I inquired.
Aenea was silent it looked like she was battling between deciding whether to tell me the truth or just make up a story, but why would she lie to me about it?
"Aenea," my grandfather broke the silence. "She knows about Richard so it's okay to tell her."
Aenea heaved a euphoric sigh. "Okay, Princess, you are aware of Richard's origin, right?"
"Yes," I replied.
"The message I have for Richard is what The Light has shown what to me. I'm here to tell Richard what his future holds in store for him," she said.
"What does his future hold?" I asked.
"I think it's better to say it when Richard arrives." she turned to face my grandfather. "Can you please summon Richard over?"
"Sure," my grandfather said. He summoned a guard to send Richard to come to the throne room immediately.
"Aenea, I think you should study my granddaughter's palm and tell me what her future holds." my grandfather said. "I'm pretty curious to know."
"I don't need to study her palms because her energy is radiating and I can feel it," she muttered. "Princess, you will be a great ruler. You will face a lot of challenges. You will need to be ready for them because your choice will affect your future and the future of Firce as a whole."
I bit my lips slowly. How in the world will I know the right choice to make when the time comes?
"Aenea, how will I be able to know if my choice is the right one?" I asked.
"That I do not know, Princess, but The Light will help you make the right choice," Aenea muttered before raising her hands. "I pray The Light will always guide your steps and give you the ability to make the right choice."
"Amen!" my grandfather chorused.
The doors of the throne room flew open, ushering in Richard. He changed the previous clothes he was wearing before, but the bandage on his hands was something I didn't notice before.
'What happened to him?'
"Greetings, Your Majesty." Richard bowed to the King before diverting his eyes to see me and Aenea.
"Aenea, you are here," he said, bowing to her too. "Welcome back to the palace it has been a while."
"I know," she chuckled. "I'm so happy to see you."
"Me too," he said. "Your Majesty, you ordered to see me may I know what the problem is?"
"Aenea wanted to see you she said there was an important message for you." My grandfather explained.
Richard's face turned pale. He turned to face Aenea. "What's wrong?"
"Richard, he is back, right?" Aenea asked.
"Yes, but how do...?
"The Light revealed it to me, but that's not my message to you, Richard." she sighed. "Thogos is back, and now he wants you more than ever. He knows you are powerful and if gains control of your mind you know what will happen."
"Why does Thogos want to gain control of Richard? What will he gain?" I asked Aenea.
"Power," she replied. "Richard's power is beyond our understanding."
Richard fisted his hands. Blood smeared his bandage, but I don't think he noticed it. I could feel how furious he was.
"I hate everything. I hate my life and my origin. I hate them all!!!" he yelled before exiting the room in a haste.
"Richard!" Aenea tried to call him back, but she couldn't. "Poor boy, he has always been going through all this. I think he has suffered a lot."
"Grandpa, Aenea, I will talk to him," I announced.
"Please calm him down, Princess. I feel his pain," she said.
"I will try," I muttered before leaving the room.
