Chereads / The Firce Princess / Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Victoria came immediately after Richard left the room.

"Annabelle, what will you like to wear?" she asked

"To be honest, Victoria, I have not opened the armoire, and I am terrified that my eyes fall out of their socket immediately I site any of the clothes there ."

Victoria laughed. "You can never choose a dress if you don't open it."

I bit my lips hard. "Okay, I will open it."

I opened the armoire and exactly what I said happened, my eyes fell out of their sockets but believe me when I say that the gowns here look amazing and the way and manner they were organised looked superb, it's looked like as every gown has been sorted and arranged into the way it will be worn and to be honest, that is the best you can ever do for me. The tiaras, jewellery, and shoes looked beautiful.

If I have to be choosing a dress from these collections every day, I doubt that I will choose an outfit to wear, but luckily for me, Victoria helped me in choosing my gown; she picked a lilac gown that was accompanied with a diamond tiara and also diamond jewellery which looked beautify.

"You should change then after that I will help you with your makeup and your hair." Victoria instructed.

Victoria helped me to get ready, she styled my hair and did my makeup and when she was done I was left speechless. I felt and looked so different.

"Victoria, you really have magic in your hands." I exclaimed.

"I don't know if I have magic, but one thing I know is that you are a beautiful princess and I am sure that everyone is going to agree with me after tonight." Victoria complimented.

I hugged Victoria because she made me feel less nervous about approaching my new life. "Thank you."

"There is no need to say thank you, Annabelle." she said before kissing me on my forehead.

Why won't Richard see her as his mother figure?

This woman was just perfect.

"Richard said that you should meet him in the throne." she informed

"Throne room?"

"Yes, thats what he told me."

"Okay"

"Richard, I want you to make sure my granddaughter's coronation party is a grand affair." my grandfather instructed.

"I will do just that, Your Majesty." Richard assured

My grandfather tapped Richard's shoulders. "I trust you completely and I know that this party will be a success."

Richard smiled before bowing to my grandfather.

My grandfather turned to face me. "Annabelle my dear I am sure that everyone will acknowledge that you are a beautiful princess but I think I am going to rest for a while."

"Sure, grandpa."

My grandfather left the throne room, leaving only Richard and I in the room. I noticed a smirk on Richard's face, which kind of annoyed me.

"May I know why you have that smirk on your face?" I asked out of curiosity.

"I don't know, could it be because I am standing in front of a gorgeous lady." he winked at me.

"Stop trying to flirt with me," I chuckled

"I am not flirting with you, I am being serious." he defended

"Whatever!"

Richard laughed before instructing one servant on how to place a particular banner properly which says 'Welcome home, Princess Annabelle.'

"Let's go on a tour around the palace." Richard suggested.

"No"

"Why?"

"Because you are busy and you need to concentrate on the party."

Richard shrugged his shoulders. "So what?"

I slapped my head. "You need to concentrate on making sure that party is a success."

"The party will be a success, but you need to have a tour around the palace." Richard said before giving one servant the book he was holding.

"You are impossible, Richard."

"I know because everyone says so."

"Shut up!"

I eventually accepted Richard's invite because he was seriously getting on my nerves. He showed me around the whole place, every nook and cranny. The palace was really beautified. The ground floor contained the grand staircase, the green drawing-room, the white drawing-room, the blue drawing-room, the state dining room, ballroom, throne room, kitchen and the music room.

The green drawing-room was the place where local visitors will have to wait if they want to see the king while the white drawing-room was the place where all royal visitors were to wait if they want to see the king while the blue drawing-room was the place were held all parties were headed. Banquets were hosted in the ballroom and music was played in the music room.

The first floor contained all the rooms of the people who live in the palace, including all the servants. The second floor contained the art gallery, library, office, training room, storage room and the terrace.

We were presently standing on the terrace, from there we could see everything. The fountain, garden and every other beautiful thing this palace contains.

"Where will the party be hosted?"

"We will hold it in two different places, in the throne room and the ballroom."

"Why two places?"

"Well, you will be crowned princess in the throne room and we will hold the party in the ballroom."

I sighed because I knew that it will take time for me to adjust.

Richard looked around the entire palace. "I really wish I could take you to the waterfalls."

"Waterfalls?"

"There is a waterfall at the back of the palace and believe it is beautiful

"Then let's go."

Richard shook his head to signal no.

"May I know why?"

"If we go there, we might come home late and that will mean that we will delay the party."

"I promise that we won't be late."

Richard did not want to take any chances because he did not want the party to be delayed in any way, but I convinced him otherwise.

"Okay, let's go." he said before he taking off.

******

"How does it look?" Richard asked.

"It looks amazing."

The waterfall looked amazing; it was made of three different gems which were diamond, sapphire and ruby, the whole place was shinning because of those gems. The waterfall was beautiful; it was a rainbow fall and every time it hits the ground a music note is played. The flowers had the most beautify petals I have ever seen, and their fragrance was just amazing.

"This is one place that makes other kingdoms envious of Firce." Richard said with pride written all over his face.

"Why won't they be?" I asked. "This place is spectacular, so we are the best kingdom when it comes to beauty."

"Yep."

We stayed there for a while and talked about different things, something related some to the palace while some were related to our personal life. I got to know that he is the Commander-In-Chief of the armed forces and also one of the hottest guys in Firce, according to him girls follow him everywhere so they could be his girlfriend but he has always turned them down, I also got to know that he did not really want to get into a relationship again because of the way his last one turned out.

"What went wrong?" I asked.

"She used me, she did not like me, she just wanted fame."

"She wanted fame?"

"I am the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, remember."

"Okay, she wanted people to refer her as the commander-in-chief's girlfriend."

"Exactly, then after she cheated on me."

"What was her name?"

"Stella."

Richard stood up from the gem rock he was sitting on before checking his wristwatch. "Anna, it's six o'clock and you know that your coronation party starts at 7:30 pm."

"I know that and since it is six, then we should probably go back."

"I agree."

******

"Annabelle, there you are!" Victoria exclaimed. "I have been looking for you everywhere."

"I am so sorry Victoria, I should have told you I was going to the waterfall with Richard."

"No problem, darling, but we need to get you ready for the party."

Victoria opened my armoire and got a sapphire gown and also a ruby gown.

"Annabelle, choose between these two gowns." Victoria instructed.

I examined the two gowns that were placed in front and eventually I choose the ruby gown because it was hot and beautiful after that I had a shower.

"Annabelle, hurry so I can get you ready." Victoria yelled out

"Victoria, calm down!"

I rushed my shower so that Victoria will not have a heart attack in the room. Immediately I came out of the bathroom she dragged me into the room and told me to sit in of the vanity.

"You know that you should calm down, right?" I asked.

"Yes, I do, but I really want you to be ready on time."

"We will."

She did my makeup and helped me to style my hair, and after that, she helped me to put on my gown.

"Annabelle, you look beautiful." Victoria blurted out.

I looked into the mirror to see myself and to be honest; it left me dumbstruck. The person I saw was not just Annabelle, the person I was starring at was truly the lost Princess Of Firce.
