ANNABELLE'S POV
Richard and I joined to help defend our kindgom. The mysterious attackers had their faces covered so I couldn't quite figure out who they were, one of them charged to attack me but I was to fast for him because my sword stabbed his chest.
'That's what you deserve.'
A lot of soldiers attached me after noticing I was a threat to them. I had to battle with about five to eight soliders alone because Richard was really busy but I was able to scale through with a little bit of technicality. I used my body as a weapon to accompany my sword and it worked well I did gain a few injures but they weren't that deep.
"Annabelle!" Richard called out, he looked messy and was a bit angry.
"Are You okay?" He asked immediately our minds linked to each other.
"Yes are you okay?" I asked.
"Yes but please stop." he requested.
"No I want to defend my people."
I killed the person who tried to sneak up on me.
"Baby it's too dangerous." he said.
"I know but it's worth it."
The next man I killed injuries me with his sword and it was so painful.
'Stop it please.' Richard pleaded.
'No.'
The amount of attDadackers were reducing as well as our soliders. Richard killed about five to six men at a go and he made sure they suffered a painful death.
'That's my man.'
Suddenly an unknown gas filled the room, it made the atmosphere blur and kinda hard to breathe in. My eyes were tearing up slowly, fighting became so difficult for me because of the gas.
"Annabelle." Richard called out.
"Yes..." A hit on my head made me dizzy so I couldn't reply to Richard.
'Richard.'

"She's coming around your majesty." I heard. My eyes were opening slowly but my head still hurts badly.
"That nice." a man said. "Hello Princess."
The mysterious man wore exactly what the attackers wore but they referred to him as your majesty.
"Annabelle!" Richard yelled. I saw my grandfather and Richard with swords placed to their throat while I was tied up to a chair.
"The princess looks really beautiful." the man said before using his fingers to brush my cheeks. "Just like her mother."
"Don't you dare touch my granddaughter with your hands Erik!" my grandfather ordered.
"Calm down old man." Erik rolled his eyes.
That name sounded so familiar, my mind tried to recollect for anytime his name was said.
"Erik? King of Aries?!" I asked.
A stupid smirk appeared on his face. "I guess Elias did tell you about me and that's good."
My anger was boiling up. "You murder!"
"Calm down little one." he chuckled. "I never expected that my genius plan would have taken out the whole family."
I couldn't keep my anger together. "My parents and grandmother died because of you."
"True but to be honest with you I didn't want your mother to die." Erik revealed. "I planned to claim her as mine.
"Don't you dare talk about my mother." I warned.
"Fiesty huh?" he smirked. "The plan was simple kill your father, claim your mother, rule the kingdom but it didn't work out."
I noticed that the servants were not present so only the universe knows where they are.
"My family can't be destroyed that way Erik." I said. "My mother will rather die than marry a despicable man like yourself."
"How dare you!" he yelled and immediately swords were placed to my throat.
"Leave her alone." Richard commanded but it only gained a chuckle from Erik.
"I know the princess is your beloved and you will get worried about her but don't forget I control the strings here." Erik said.
He ordered his soldiers to drop down their weapons. "You know this plan was easier in comparison to the poison plan we came up with."
"Poison? Which means you were responsible?" I asked.
"Yes I was." he admitted. "But I had a little help while planning and the funny part is that I was helped by your own people."
"Explain?" I demanded.
"I had a little help with that plan including this one and the people that helped me are your people." Erik smiled.
"Impossible." my grandfather said. "The people of Firce won't betray their own kingdom."
"If wishes were horses beggers would ride." Erik quoted. "That's what you think but it's not true."
"My people don't betray." I boasted.
"Don't be way to confident Annabelle." Erik warned. "It will hurt."
"If you are saying the truth let's meet them." Richard suggested. "Let's see them."
"As you wish." Erik ordered two men to get them and immediately I sighted them my heart sunk.
"Isabella and George!" I exclaimed. "You helped Erik."
"Why not?" Isabella chuckled.
"I can't believe this." Richard muttered. "You betrayed your King despite all he has ever done for you."
"What did he ever do for us?" Isabella asked.
"Are you seriously asking this? The palace, food, money, respect and love he has given to you is what?" Richard inquired.
"If you he really loved us he would have given the title of commander in chief to George and not you." Isabella said.
Richard looked so surprised. "Not this again Isabella."
"What happened now Richard?" Isabella chuckled. "You know that you won that position because the king just likes you more."
"Isabella we have three matches just to know who was the best and each time I won. I never wanted to be the commander but I accepted it because I won fair and square." He said.
"Lies I know George will have won you if he had other chances." Isabella yelled.
"Enough." I ordered. "That's not a good reason to be traitors to your kingdom."
"Oh please princess shut up." George waved his hands to dismiss my statement. "I wanted you dead and that's why I personally came up with the posioning idea but you survived it."
"Oh my gosh!" I exclaimed. "So you were willing to help this man just to seek revenge for a stupid thing."
"Yes." Isabella smirked before using a sword to pierce my skin. "And it's time to cause pain."
