Stefanie's POV
I arrived at the boarding house. In the minute I opened the door, my mom said:
- Stefanie! Where were you? Did you realize the time?
- Um... I'm sorry mom, I was at a friend. Oh, and i think you might know them.- I said watching the hour. It was ten o'clock and I didn't realize it was that late.
- Who is this friend, or friends?- my dad said.
- They are Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson. Heard of them?- I said, scared of their reaction, but stubborn.
- What?!- my mum said. - Stefanie you don't know how dan...
- Yeah mom, I know that they are dangerous. But you two have some explaining to do.- I continued, pointing at them, and mad with my parents.- Oh and skip the part where you say that they are monsters, and bloodsuckers, or originals, I don't care that much about them, I care about you. You two knew about that world this whole time...and you didn't tell me a thing?
- Ok, we will tell you everything, but under one condition.- my dad said.
- And what is that?- I asked.
- How did you met the Mikaelson brothers, and since when you are friends with them?- my dad continued.
I told them about the way I met Elijah, and Thea, and that Elijah told me he hadn't any siblings, but then Klaus appeared and all that drama today about the originals.
- Wow!- my mum said.- I thought that Elijah and Klaus don't like school, but apperantly I was wrong.
- Well, they came here for a new begging, for a fresh start, after Hayley's death...
- Oh my God, I didn't knew that!- my mum said, covering her mouth with her hands, - Hayley is dead?
- Well, now you do. Now tell me how you two have a connection in this world.
- Elijah didn't tell you that? - my mom said.
- No, he said that I should ask my parents about that.
-Umm..well...- my father said...me and Elena...we were vampires.
- What?! I can't believe this. I mean, were?
- Yes, were, there was a cure for vampirism and Stefan drank it, but then, we needed to save Mystic Falls from burning, so Stefan got the cure out of his body and gave it to me, then he burned along with Katherine to save us.
- Wow!- I said
- And me, when I drank the cure, I remembered everything that an original vampire compelled me. I told him to take away my good memories with Damon, because that time he was dead, and I was in grief. Damon came back to life, and I drank the cure, memories came back, and then, Lizzie and Josie's uncle, Kai Parker, put a sleeping spell on me, and as long as Bonnie was alive, I was sleeping. Bonnie, somehow broke the spell, and I woke up as a human.
- Oh my God!- I said thinking of what my mother just explained. - And who was this original vampire?
- It was Alaric,- my father said. Esther put a spell on him, and he became an original vampire. As long as Elena lived, he lived too. His mission was to kill all the originals, and all the vampire race died along with them. We couldn't allow it, so accidentally Elena became a vampire, and Ric died. After two years, Bonnie found a way to bring him back.
- Wow, wow, ....wow!!!
- Then Alaric fell in love with Josette Parker, who saved his life when he crossed the magical border into Mystic Falls which stripped him of his supernatural powers and made him human again.- my mother said.- then Kai killed Josette, she was pregnant with Alaric's child, but then the Gemini Coven found a way to transfer the twins into Caroline and she gave birth to them. Lizzie and Josie are witches, from the Gemini coven.
- Oh and Stefanie, Thea is a very good girl, keep your friendship with her.- my father said.- and as for Elijah and Klaus...
- They are my friends too dad!- I said, stubborn.
- Ok, ok Stef...- my father said.
I was shocked of all this story. But now everything made sense.
- And...this is our story!- my mother said. I know...it's complicated and sad...but...Stefanie...you understand why we didn't tell you, right?
- Of course I understand mom!- said getting up to hug her.
- Oh..group hug!- my father said and hugged the two of us.
After I hugged them, I felt very tired, and I went to bed, and my eyes closed as soon as I put my head in the pillow.
Elijah's POV
I can't believe I told her all of that. Now...now she is...she is afraid of me. I mean...she has every right to but...I can't allow this...she doesn't have to fear me. No...no...I won't allow this.
So...I decided to go to her house. I have gone to her house a thousand times, but now...it seemed like I was digging into my sad past again...
I got in the car and went there. It seemed as magnificent as always...I didn't get in through the front door, I went in the roof and straight through Stefanie's window. I didn't want to scare her, so I walked through her room gently, and sat in her bed. I needed to convince her, that she doesn't have to be afraid of me.
She was sleeping. Or half-sleeping. She didn't seem like she was in a deep sleep. So I touched her cheek and said:
Stefanie's POV
- Stefanie! Stefanie!- I heard a peaceful voice and a soft hand touching my cheek. I oppened my eyes immediately and saw him.
- Elijah! Oh my god! What are you doing here?- I said surprised and panicking of the presence of him in my room.
- I'm sorry Stefanie for breaking in, but...I need to ask you something.- he said.- Are you...are you afraid of me?
- Oh, Elijah...I...I don't know.. -I said, getting up from my bed and walking as far away from Elijah as possible.
He got up from my bed and walked towards me.
- Oh...Stefanie...you don't have to be afraid of me! I don't want you to be afraid of me. Me and Niklaus come to no harm to you or your family!- he said touching my cheek and our bodies were so close.
- I don't want to, Elijah..but...
- Stefanie, I give you my word, I or Niklaus will not hurt you or any person that is important to you!
- Okay, you promise me Elijah?
- I promise you darling!
- I put him in a tight hug. He hugged me back and then he put me in bed, with me in his arms and said:
- Good night, Stefanie!
- Good night Elijah!- and he disappeared from the open window.
