A week later:
"Are you ready yet?" Nyx glanced up the empty staircase. "Ambai? Are you seriously not ready yet?"
"I'm almost ready!!" a small voice came from above.
"Seriously, this girl is always late!" Nyx plopped onto the sofa with a scowl.
"She is tardy." Rebus sat down on the opposite sofa with a small smile on his face.
Nyx chuckled. "Don't let her hear that. She might disown you after this,"
Old butler Hai brought out his morning coffee and a newspaper and placed it gently on the table.
Rebus said his thanked and picked it. With a smug smile, he glanced at her.
"Oh, that is not possible at all. Our love is strong enough to face all adversaries." he happily drank his morning coffee.
Nyx just shook her head. These two love birds were too much for her to handle. Even old Hai got too overwhelmed by their blatant flirting.
