Chapter 25 - Da Lusi

Da Lusi was filled by many people who came for having lunch. Aunty Lusi immediately became busy to ensure her employees giving the best service for each customer. While her eyes wasn't on me, I looked for an activity which can ward off my boredom.

A costumer who sat in the dining table which is placed on the left corner of the restaurant waving his hand, asked for a waitress to bring the foods & beverages menu.

As everyone was busy and there was only me who just observed the rush hours without doing anything, that's why I approached the costumer on the left corner dining table with the tablet on my hand to show up the menu.

"Carbonara and orange juice please", he ordered without looking at the menu when I arrived.

"Thank you. Please wait a moment", I replied and left.

"Wait!", He said.

"Yes, sir", I replied.

The customer stared at me for a moment without saying a word. The way he looked at me, it seemed that my face resembled and reminded him of someone whom he knows, I guessed.

However, whatever it is, there isn't my business.

After confirming there was no problem, I left as another costumer next to the previous table called for ordering. Afterwards, I went to several following tables to take orders.

While this activity isn't a new experience, however it's quite fun to do in my spare time.

After leaving the seventh table, Aunty Lusi pulled me away from the customer table.

"What did you do?", she asked.

"If Bunda knows it later, Aunty will be scolded by Bunda", she continued.

"Bunda will never know if you don't tell her", I replied.

She responded with an uncertain and unconvincing expression. This was normal since my mother can smell dishonesty and lies.

So, I was forced to follow her and sat at one of the dining tables which have just been cleared after being disused by costumers. Then, she called a waitress and asked me to order.

"Beef steak and mango juice", I said.

"Avocado juice and the main menu I asked before", she said.

I asked her permission to continue my previous activities, but I wasn't allowed for various made up reasons: I'm a tourist, not a worker; fatigue brings a bad effect on my health, and Ryan will get angry if I get sick.

The third reason which she uttered made me speechless and obedient, even though my father asked me to learn how to run a restaurant.

In no time, the food that we ordered landing on the table.

Da Lusi offers many kinds of delicious foods to spoil costumer's tongue, such as Western foods, Malay cuisines, Middle East tastes, and some Acehnese dishes are also available.

We must work together to consume up all dishes which almost filled the entire table while I ordered only a dish of steak and a glass of mango juice.

A few seconds later, I realized that she was the one who ordered the halal smörgåsbord packet containing some menus of salmon cold fish dishes, some hot dishes, and delicious desserts.

Aunty Lusi was the one who deliberately tricking me to undergo the weight gain program which she had targeted with my mother.

I glanced at her, she just smiled and shrugged. There was nothing left to say.
