Chapter One
"Daddd!!! I am getting late for my school. Where's mom? And aren't you late for your work today?" Alex screamed over his dad who was reading newspaper ignoring his questions for 11th time.
"Ugh! You are not going school today and I am not leaving for my work and your mom went to store to buy some stuffs, okay?" Peter says in a bit annoyed tone.
"But Dad wh--"
"No more questions Alex. It's not right time to tell you. You'll understand when time comes." Peter says cutting him off.
Alex had lots of questions on his mind. He knew his parents loved him but he also knew that they were hiding something from him. Changing cities every year was mystery forĀ him. He tried asking them many times before but the answer were same from both "It's not a perfect time".
Later that night, he tried to listen to his parents talk from outside of their bedroom door but the luck wasn't on his favor because even though he tried very hard he couldn't hear anything through the door.
Next day, Peter and Julias packed their suitcase and kept in their car and the way they were rushing to move out was really intriguing him.
"Is this really necessary mom? I was starting to like this city." Alex said packing his clothes in his bag.
"I am so sorry honey but we have to leave. So, can you just do it fast?" Julias said ruffling his hair.
"But you can at least tell me where are we going? Look outside, the weather looks horrible. Don't you think we....no I mean, you both chose a wrong day to move?" Alex said folding his hands.
"I know but we don't have any option"
"Option? Mom!! I am so tired of these secrets. Why don't you tell me what's going on? I know you both have been hiding something from me but I think I am old enough to know everything" Alex said in a disappointed look.
"Now no more questions Alex. Just hurry up."
He knew there was no point in arguing so he did what his mother told him.
When they were leaving the city, Alex had no idea where their next destination was. The weather was getting more and more horrible. The more the city started to fade from their sight, the more it got horrible.
"Dad! Can you please drive slow? The way you're driving is scaring me off"
Yes, the way Peter was driving was scaring Alex. Peter ignored Alex's question and looked at Julias who also seemed terrified now and said- "He's following us"
"Dad who's following-- wohaaaa" Suddenly the lightening hit their car.
"Peter stop the car."Julias said in a terrifying tone.
Peter tried to stop the car but for some reason their car was not stopping. The rain was getting heavier and so the thunder and lightning.
"Peter stop the goddamn-"
"I am trying Julias but it's not stopping. I think we should jump out of the car" Peter said looking at Julias.
Julias turned to Alex and said "Alex you have to jump out of the car. It's the only way to save you."
"Mom what are you saying? I can't, i-
"Alex there's no time." Peter said cutting him off. "Look at me and do what your mother says. You have jump now. You need to trust us"
Julias kissed his forehead but he was really scared so before he could say anything Julias took a long breath and pushed him outside from the car.
When Alex hit his head on the ground everything went blur and the only thing he could hear was the loud car crash.
"No no no... Moomm!! Daaaddd!" Alex stood up and looked around.
There was nothing. He walked furthermore but there was nothing. He knew he heard the crash but there was no sign of any car from the distance.
"Moommm! Daaaddd! Where are you?" Alex screamed out of his lung but unfortunately there was nothing. No sign of his parent's car, no other vehicles passing by, no people around. It was just an empty road.
Alex crashed in the ground crying. He felt weak from the amount of blood he was losing from his head. But suddenly, he felt something. Something behind his back and before he could turn back everything went black.
