"Dominique, just grab some things to last for a few days," Nathaniel urged.
Dominique looked at him. What the hell was he talking about for a few days? She wasn't going to be at his house past tomorrow morning. He just looked at her.
"I'm only going to be at your house until the morning, Nathaniel. I don't need much."
"Would you change your mind if I said that Jacob is still after you? Would it make a difference if I said he was actually after me and using you to get to me? Would it matter to you if I said I could no longer be around you as it is putting you in danger?" Nathaniel asked as he looked around to make sure no one else was around to overhear him.
"What?" Dominique asked, not believing this.
"Dominique, please, just grab some things so we can go, okay? We can discuss this once we get home."
