"I told you that being with all of those women would come back to bite you," Dominique said as she walked out of the room.
"What?" Nick asked as he turned to his mother.
"I heard the conversation. She said she didn't think she could trust you. There's only one reason I can think of that she would say that. She knows about your player ways and she doesn't like it. No woman wants a man that has slept with so many women and a lot of them were pack members. Do you think she wants to be around them when she knows that you have been intimate with them? She probably feels like they would still be in your life even though she is your mate. I told you to stop and think of what might happen if you ever did find your mate but you shrugged it off."
"She can't reject me because of my past. Everyone has a past. That's just ridiculous. She has to give me a fair chance to prove to her that I'll be a good mate. How can she just assume something like that about me?"
