I rushed to my bedroom. I lie in my soft bed and hugged my pillow. Pillow gives me a sense of affection by hugging it. Maybe I'm a kid who lacks affection that's why I cling to a non-living thing for some warmth.
"You're a fake." Those words keep repeating in my head. She is not just ill-mannered, she also has a fool mouth. How dare she talked to me like that? I didn't bother her even she pushed me on the ground. What a nuisance! It's really annoying that my mind is filled by her.
My parents are not usually here in this house. They worked their butt-off in their music studio. They cherish that building over a living son. I'm kinda thankful because I have a comfortable life yet I don't use my car to drive myself to school. I just hate cars, it's like bigger toys that are so expensive and ruin the environment.
I arrived early at school and I quickly buy snacks at the cafeteria. Carl approached me from behind and greeted me.
"Hey pal, eating chips early in the morning?"
"So?"
I plainly replied this man is annoying.
"So give me some." He gets the chips from my hands and munches himself. I tried to get it back and walked faster.
"Wait for me haha." He rushes towards me and. we both arrived in the room and I saw that rude girl from yesterday. She is talking to her seatmate and looked at me.
Whenever she looks at me I feel her eyes are talking to me. I glance away and focus on eating my chips.
"Hey, Hendrix right?" A girl talked to me, she has almond eyes and a round face. She is pretty but with a softer look than Amy. She is the seatmate of Amy
"Yes, why?"
"Nice singing yesterday, sorry I didn't clap my hands."
"Thank you, but you don't need to be sorry if you don't like something," I replied and continued eating my chips.
"Cindy you don't say sorry for a petty singing."
Amy suddenly talks with her rude words. I really hate her voice when she talks bad about me.
"No, it's not a petty performance. I just don't like the song."
I stopped for a bit and look at Cindy. I felt she complimented me. I also don't like the song, I just like getting compliments from my mom. Is it possible that she also hates music?
"Why don't you like the song? Do you hate music?" Her face looked confused when I ask her that question.
"No, why would I hate music?" She replied.
"Sorry, that song is very likable and common." I tried to avoid that question.
"Yes, I liked it before. Anyways you sing really good."
"Thank you again." I coldly replied and then Carl intervened.
"My friend has a really great voice," Carl said while looking at the girl. He seems interested at her.
"Your friend is pretentious." I can't take it anymore. Why does she keep telling me that?
"Excuse me, what is your problem with me?" I politely asked. Amy looked at me for seconds and those eyes were like my parents. Disgusted.
"I don't hate you, I just don't like how your eyes opposite what are you doing."
"And what exactly am I doing, that is bothering you?"
"You being here in the Musical Academy." Amy replied with a confident voice.
"So you're harassing me with words because you merely don't like me being here."
"No, I am not harassing you. I am just saying the truth."
Cindy tried to stop Amy from talking.
"Amy you're just hungry right?"
"How can you know the truth? You don't even know me, Miss." I blatantly replied and grabbed my phone. The school alarm buzzed, sign that the class would start. Amy stopped talking, maybe because she felt guilty? The girl has some real problems, why she is assuming that I am pretentious? I am just trying my best here to please my parents. I'm not being fake. I really want to please my parents.
Classes go on for three hours, my stomach is screaming for food. Why do I have to pick chips over a sandwich? I am really stupid. Carl is dozing off in his seat. From my view, I can see Cindy secretly talking to Amy. By the face of Amy, I could tell she is pissed. Because Amy keeps pushing away Cindy and telling her to listen to the teacher. Cindy raises her voice and I could hear them talking.
"Amy, you need to say sorry to him."
"Shh, Why should I?" Amy replied with her annoyed voice.
"You're being rude. I clearly remember that you told me to remind you if you're being rude and judgemental."
I thought so, Amy is problematic. The teacher could hear them but they keep talking and whispering at each other.
"I don't care.." Amy's voice is loud enough and the teacher looked at them. Yet they keep their girl's talk running. I patted Cindy and give her a look that the teacher was looking at them. Cindy immediately stops talking and slapped Amy at the shoulder to do the same thing.
The teacher continued his lecture and finally, both of them stops talking. The teacher gave us a group work. I was grouped with Carl, Cindy, and unluckily, Amy. Also, we are also grouped to this new student, she is a late enrollee. Her name is Jean, she is beautiful and seems famous. Carl stalked her on Instagram and she has 100,000 followers. Carl was amused in her but I really don't care if someone is famous in social media. What matters is her contribution to the group work.
We have decided to have a meeting in the cafeteria during break time. Carl and I went first to Tech Building to photocopy some papers and then we would go to the cafeteria. When we arrived at the cafeteria we saw Amy sitting alone. Where is Cindy? Suddenly Cindy came behind and talked to Carl.
"Carl, could you please go with me for a moment?"
Carl was flattered when Cindy asked her. I knew Carl is attracted to Cindy, I just don't if he is a serious type in a relationship.
"Sure." Carly happily replied and I saw Cindy gave Amy a looked that only of them can understand.
"Hendrix you could sit over with Amy, Carl, and I would just buy some food."
I nod and walked towards Amy. I am a little guilty because I talked rudely at Amy. But she deserved it. I sit across from Amy and we were quiet for a minute until the voice of that girl resonated vibrated my ears.
"Hendrix..." Why the sudden change on her pitch and who is she to call me by my name? What kind of drugs did she take?
" Uhmm.. what?" I mumbled because the tension is so awkward. What should I do?
"You know people tend to hate someone because they actually liked them." This is a different Amy, she doesn't look at me, instead, she is facing the floor. What is wrong with this girl?
"So..... why are you telling me that?"
"Because I liked you Hendrix....."
What?! Are you insane? You keep glaring at me lately, telling me that I am a fake bastard. I was flattered at the same time, but it seems wrong Amy likes me. We've only met yesterday.
