When Lianna woke up it was only the evening after falling asleep after breakfast. She went upstairs to check on Damien when she noticed he wasn't downstairs yet. When she got up the stairs she noticed she was still in her light blue pj's and decided to go change really quick. When she walked through the door she Damien on the bed with his arms and legs sprawled out and a angry expression on his face while his eyes were closed.
Lianna carefully went in the closet and closed the door to get changed, while in the closet she heard Damien start to move around on the bed, slipping on her jeans she walked out and saw him sitting up on the bed, she walked up to him and asked him...
"You ok?"
"Hmmm... oh ya ya I'm fine" Damien responded still half asleep
"I think she should do some stuff today don't you think" she asked very quietly
"Like what the cops are after us and we have no where to go"
"We don't have to leave the house, we can go outside and maybe light a fire" she said and continued saying. "We have such a pretty view of the city and they won't be able to see us from this high up the city lights will drown out the fire"
"I'll think about it ok, I don't know about a fire but maybe we can go outside for some fresh air. But tomarrow I think we need to start finding out whose behind this ok?"
"Ok Damien let's just enjoy the night I feel like this is just the tip of the iceberg so we should enjoy our peaceful life on this mountain" Lianna was now facing Damien and looking down at his sorrow filled face, she grabbed his chin to look up at her and she greeting him with a smile and gentle touch on his cheek.
Damien got up and patted her on the head to acknowledge her kindness and then walked out and back downstairs. Lianna followed behind him as she caught his husky scent brush past her face.
They both sat down on the couch and turned on the news, they sat next to one another but were still a couple centimeters apart.
"Who do you think did this Damien" Lianna was the first to speak her voice still low and soft.
"I don't know-" before Damien continued a question sprung in Liannas head.
"Where's Julie?"
Damien froze for a second since he didn't know either, the night before his dad died she left to go home.
"Um.. I don't know maybe being interrogated by the police or something, you don't have to worry about her she doesn't know about this place."
"So she just disappeared isn't that a little odd" when Lianna heard what he said she thought of Nick who too did just disappear only he was gone for a week before her dad died. The room was filled with silence cause Lianna didn't know worthier to tell him or not she didn't know if it was important.
"Did you have people close to you?" Damien finally asked.
"Yes, my best friend Rose which you don't need to worry about she wouldn't be behind this, and there's Beck who I don't think would do it either just like me and Rose, Beck is also our childhood friend...." a look crept on Liannas face that Damien clearly noticed that there was something else.
"What's on your mind is there another person?" He asked looking at her.
"Yes he's Roses' boyfriend his name is Nick he disappeared a week before my dad died and I haven't seen him since even Rose wondered where he was"
Damien didn't respond to what Lianna said she was too taken over what Lianna said 'he disappeared a week ago' kept going through Damiens head, he noticed that Lianna never cleared him like the other too so chances of him having something to do with this is slim to none but definitely not none.
"Come one" Damien got up and said grabbing Liannas hand he walked her towards the door.
"Where are we going?"
"Outside we can't do a fire but I'll get a blanket and we can just lay out there for a bit" he said leading her outside.
"Ahhh thank you Damien!!" She screamed with joy as a big smile ran across her face.
As Damien turned around to go back in to get a blanket a small smirk crept up on his face as well.
Damien laid the blanket on the stone and put some pillows down to support their heads. Lianna was the first to lay as she looked up at the starry night sky. Damien put down some food he made for dinner, he made fish from the basement the last time him and his father were here.
"Mmm that smells so good" Lianna stated
"It's salmon try some I think you'll like it."
"I'll try some after you lay down" Lianna said as a smirk crept on her face clearly teasing him as he did.
With out a word Damien sighed and lied down next to Lianna on his side while the two plates filled with salmon separated them. They continued eating and watching the stars for rest of the night, everything was just so breathtaking even the view from the city made the world look beautiful and for a second the both of them forgot everything that was going on and looked up at the stars.
Lianna took both of their plates and put them at the ends of the blanket so she could inch a little closer to Damien but still keeping her distance to not make the the feeling around them become awkward again.
"Aren't they beautiful" Lianna had the biggest smile on her face now as her eyes widen with disbelief.
"Ya I guess they are" But Damien wasn't looking at the stars, when Lianna started talking he looked at her and something took over him as he looked into her sparkling eyes, which made Damien smile a little bit.
"Hey Damien can I ask you something"
"Depends what it is"
"Do you believe that there's a God?"
What Lianna said shocked Damien as he stayed quiet thinking of an answer
"I mean like I just think that if there was one, none of these things would be happening to us."
When he realized Liannas smile fade he decided to speak up.
"I can't give you a straight answer, I don't have that answer you see, I think its impossible for humans to prove such an existence, and to answer what you also said, if there is a god I don't think you can blame him for the evil that lives inside humans that their fault not gods"
"Thank you, I think your right we can't prove if there is a god and we can't prove if there is no god" sorrow started to cover her face but then started to beam with light again when her eye caught the sight of a shooting star. She sat up with excitement as she pointed to the sky grabbing Damiens shirt to grab his attention but he was already watching it.
"It's beautiful Damien, oooh! Let's make a wish!" Lianna all filled with excitement stood up in her feet and closed her eyes as she thought of her wish. When she looked down at Damien she she noticed how he was looking at her with a blank expression she couldn't tell what he was feeling.
"What are you feeling" Lianna finally asked
He wanted to tell her how wishes aren't real and that they don't come true but seeing how happy she was right now he couldn't bring himself to do such a thing to her especially in a time like this.
"I don't know I just can't believe this is all happening"
"Well don't worry we will get through this I have hope I just know we will get through it" she walked closer to him and sat back down next to him still looking up at the night sky, what they both saw tonight will be unforgettable.
