Autumn and Evan stood on top of an uphill forest. A still breeze blew through the trees. Autumn looked around and made sure that they are alone. "When did you learn to do that?" Evan asked when Autumn didn't say anything at all. "When your boyfriend was dying in my arms." Autumn bluntly replied. "He is not my boyfriend. Not anymore, I guess." Autumn realized that nothing has changed of Evan. He is still the same, angry, and hurt. Lost and betrayed. "Why didn't you come back? Why didn't you come back to me?" Autumn asked as a frustrated Evan shook his head in disbelief. "You killed my brother. You fucked with my head until I did not even recognize who I was anymore, Autumn. After that stun you pulled were you fooled everyone into believing I was dead, I knew that you will always find choice them over me. I knew it would be them and then us. So I left with all you're fucked up memories intact. I decided it was best to get far away from you as possible. I tried my best to get rid of whatever curse you had over me. Found out that you the only one who could reserve it. Then I heard that the cult was looking for me, so I had to go into hiding. That's when I left Walter after I found him and decided I wanted a normal life. I could never have one because of you, Autumn. You made me into this. We had a life together, and you threw that away. You moved on and left me with the damage." Evan spoke his mind for the first in a year after seeing Autumn. "The reason why the cult was chasing after Walter was because I used a protection spell on him to keep him safe. They could not track me because I used your curse or whatever to my advantage. Making me nonexistence to them. I never meant for Walter to get hurt. I guess after I showed up by him, he was the easiest way to find me." Evan explained. Autumn had so many questions but shoved it all away because deep down, he already knew the answers. "There's a way out for you. We have a plan. You have a choice to get what you want finally. Yourself back." Autumn negotiated, hoping Evan would take the deal and end the torment he began. Evan stared at Autumn as if he wanted an answer from Autumn. "So you telling me that you all came up with a plan to take away all the shit that started after you made me suffer and used me to get yourself out of some weird-ass cult." Autumn nodded yes and didn't have the words to say or wanted to say. "Fine. I am in. Do what you have to do. I don't care anymore. I'm tired of this bullshit anyway, and I don't want some cult on my back for shit I didn't evens do." Evan never seemed minded. Effortless, he would have argued with Autumn about everything, but he brushed it off as if it were nothing. "I'm done, Autumn. I'm tired of running from something that you did and decided at the moment was the right thing to do. There were millions of options you could have done…you just decided to fuck me up instead." He said. Autumn still struggled to find the right words to say. How to apologize for everything. "I'm sorry." He brought up. "I'm sorry that I had to drag you into my mess and to use you to get out of the cult. I fell in love with you; that's why I could never go through with the plan. I wanted you to find me. For us to live a life without running or anyone or anything is after us. I wanted that for us. I wanted all of this to work in my favour, and yes, I might sound selfish, but I wanted it because I'm tired too. I'm exhausted, Evan. I'm exhausted from waiting for you as well. I'm exhausted from always trying to fix everything." Evan shook his head in disbelief as Autumn pleaded his heart out. "You are the one who fucked up everything in the first place!" Evan screamed. "I went through months of agony trying to save you. Trying to make you remember and doing what I had to for you. For you, it's always just been about you, Autumn. All of this has been for you. I'm done. I'm done doing all this for you." Evan exhaled, calming himself. "I didn't mean for all of this to happen. I never did. But we here and I am trying to fix this, so just let me." Autumn said. The wind picked us as the leaves began to rattle. Evan stepped closer to Autumn and gazed at him. "There is no fixing this. There's only trying, and I'll give you one last try Autumn, and after that, I don't want to see you again. I don't ever want to see you again." Autumn could felt his heart racing. It is not what he wanted, not what he imagined would happen. Being rejected. "One last try." Autumn chocked, trying to get the words out. "So, let's do it." Evan sternly said.
"How long do you think they would be gone?" Zia whispered to Xavier and glanced over to Walter, sitting on the couch, leg jumping. "I mean, they can't just leave us here to babysit. I don't even know diner boy and why they both so eager to bone him." She said, trying to keep her voice lowered. "So, let's get to know him." Xavier said and went off to Walter after Zia tried to stop him. "Walter, right?" Xavier asked as Walter barely notice he's there. "Diner, boy." Zia yelled, getting his attention. "What is it?" Walter asked, stopping his leg jump. "Uhm, how do you know Evan?" Xavier asked, trying to start the conversation. "Even I could have asked him that better." Zia teased. "I met Evan a while back. He left me without an explanation, and showed up a few days ago, disappeared again, and showed up again today." Walter responded, standing up. "Did you know he put a protection spell on you?" Xavier asked. Walter looked confused, staring back and forth between them. "What do you mean?" He asked. Zia punched Xavier on the arm. "Why would you say that? He doesn't know of jackshit. Fucking spoilers' dude." Walter stormed to the kitchen and took out a glass. "Fuck it." Xavier said and rushed over to him. Walter poured some water from the tap as his hand kept shaking. "I'm sorry if I'm putting a lot of pressure on you. I don't know what you know and what you don't know." Xavier apologized. "Seems like I don't know at all what's going on. I'm just the fucking pawn piece in whatever the fuck is going on." Walter threw out the water and held the glass tight. "I didn't evens know they knew each other. I don't evens know who Evan is anymore. I don't know anything, and I'm starting to think that sometimes not knowing, serves you good." Walter felt water dripped from his hand. "You're bleeding." Xavier said, taking the broken glass from his hand. "I've been where you are now. Not knowing. It can kill, but it helps not kill yourself over it. Take it as it is. Don't fight against it and figure everything out afterwards. Safe yourself in the process." Xavier took Walter's hand and showed him how his wounds healed. Evan and Autumn stormed through the living room door. "So are you done showing Bella the forest because we really need to start with everything and also diner boy is major confused, so Evan needs to sort that out on his own. We did our part." Zia said to Autumn. "Yes, we can start with the plan." He closed the door behind him and looked up at Walter but quickly looked away. "So, where do we need to be for this to happen?" Evan asked. "We need to go where it all happened." Xavier let go of Walter's hand and stepped to Zia. "Good." Evan replied. "So, what about him?" Zia asked as they all turned and faced Walter. "What's going to happen to diner, boy?" Walter wiped his blood off a towel and walked over to all of them. "I need to remove the protection spell off of him, so I guess he's part of this mess that needs fixing. Also, I'm sure he wants answers." Evan stated. Walter stood for almost 20 secs, just staring at all of them. "I don't want to know what is going on. I don't want to be involved. I don't want anything to do with you or whatever dark shit you into." Zia bumped Autumn as Walter spoke. "Remove the brain wipe." She whispered. Autumn shook his head no and tried to avoid her. "So, do we understand each other?" Walter finally asked. "For god sake, just remove the brain wipe." Zia snapped. "Okay." Autumn quickly agreed and took off the memories spell from Walter. "What did you do?" Evan asked, concerned as Walter fell onto his knees, holding his head in agony. "We fixing diner, boy." Zia smirked at Evan. "After the car accident, Autumn had to take away his memories of it." Xavier said as they wait for Walter to calm down. "So, he decided that's the best thing to do?" Autumn could see Evan get upset all over again. "Calm your balls, Stone. We had to do it after the pain he was in and seeing the things that happened. It's your fault that he is in this situation anyways." Zia said and gave Evan a look shutting him up. "Why do we always have to drag people into shit?" Xavier asked as Zia remarks on Walter still being his knees in agony. "Guess we drawn to fucking up people." Autumn said. Walter finally stopped and bowed his head, breathing shallowly. "Finally." Zia remarked. Autumn rushed over to Walter and helped him up. "You okay?" He asked as Walter disorderedly looked at him. "How did we…you….the car came out of nowhere, and I tried to..." Walter looked over Autumn's shoulder and saw Evan. "You motherfucker." He pushed Autumn aside and went to attack Evan. "He's one of us." Zia laughed. "You almost fucking killed me. They have been following me for weeks because of you. Wasn't it good enough to leave me but you had sent people after me making them think I'm you." Walter pinned Evan up against the wall. "I'm sorry." Evan said. "Always just sorry. Always just so sorry." Walter let go of Evan. "I just couldn't let them find me with you." Evan yelled. "Fuck you." Walter said and swung a hit on Evan. "That's gonna hurt." Xavier grinned. "He deserves it." Zia added. "Hit me all you want. It was to protect you." Evan covered his bloody nose, trying to stop the bleeding. "That's not the only reason why I hit you. You used me. You told me about them, about Autumn and Zia, Xavier, all of them. You went on for months over what they did to you and how you will never forgive Autumn. Then you just wiped my memory and made it as if nothing happened. You told me about everything, and still yet, here you are at their mercy again. No matter how much you tried to run, you'll always just crawl back." Evan didn't say anything. He glanced over to Autumn and made his way to the bathroom, slamming the door behind him. "It's not his fault. I'm the reason he's like that." Autumn said as Walter rubbed his fingers. "I'm just trying to fix everything for once." Autumn said. Walter heard the sink water tapping and some splashing from the bathroom. "I know you for almost a month or so, Autumn. You dragged me out of a crashed car to save my life, and all he ever did was lie to me repeatedly. On top of that, he used me as a target. I was as blinded, but you made me see." Autumn felt relieved. Relieved that Walter didn't resent him. "Okay." He said. "We need to get this over with." Zia said and went to go check up on Evan. She pushed opened the door and saw the tap running. "He's gone." She shouted from the bathroom. "What do you mean, he's gone, Zia?" Xavier asked as Zia came out of the bathroom. "Evan fucking Stone is gone, Xavier." She said.
Evan walked out of the apartment building, checking his surrounding before he continued walking. He made it down the street before he heard Zia yelling after him. "Fuck." He said as he saw her running towards him. "You not getting away this time, Stone." She screamed as she pushed people out of her way. Evan ran around the block and thought he lost her but saw she wasn't far behind him. "I can do this whole day Evan." She yelled. Autumn, Walter, and Xavier saw her run around the block and went after her. Evan tried to outrun Zia, but she was too fast getting closer and closer to him. Autumn, Walter, and Xavier came around the block and could see Zia is close enough to jump Evan. "Zia!" Xavier screamed when he saw an oncoming car. Zia caught up to Evan and tried to jump him, but he stopped, turned around, and pushed her into the oncoming car. "No!" Autumn yelled and ran. He could see everything slow down, Zia being about to be hit, and Evan is making a run for it. Autumn pushed himself and appeared before the car, caught Zia, and pushed her out of the way. For a spilt second, as he saw the world moving for the first time, he wanted to stay in it. Between space and time. Where there's no beginning nor end. "Just end me." He whispered as time caught up, and the car hit him. Zia fell onto the pavement, Xavier stopped in his tracks, Walter rushed as far as he could get to Autumn. Evan stood out of breath, watching Autumn's body rolling around on the gravel. "It's amazing what friends can do to each, don't you think?" Evan's whole body ran cold. He recognized the voice. He knew the voice. "Hey, brother," Austin said as Evan turned around and saw his dead brother standing in front of him. "Y'all in a load of shit." He warned Evan as he watched everyone stood around Autumn.
