There was a central nexus access point in my cultivation abode, which was handy. The interface was straightforward. A far cry from the design in the demonic sects who didn't want you accessing the information in most cases. So maneuvering through dense nonsense and overbearing defensive metrics had become the norm.
Now though, I could easily find everything I was looking for.
The array market in the Sect was already very mature. The market share for most things was pretty much already set. I just had to find a niche where I would best be able to leverage my expertise.
That didn't prove incredibly difficult. All manner of defensive equipment against soul attacks were extremely outdated. I could tweak one of the basic designs that were for sale a tiny bit and increase their effectiveness by at least seventy percent.
Their commercial defenses against scrying were also woefully obsolete. Breaking into those markets wouldn't even be that difficult. The commercial licenses for arrays were easy to obtain once you passed some basic tests.
Something I could easily bypass with my identity.
Making the prototypes was incredibly simple. The virtual workshop was quite advanced. It was allowing for basic remodelings of any array. That was all I had to do.
I created the patents behind the extra additions. Gaining approval almost immediately. Then all I had to do was pay for a demonstration of my ideas.
The video was a success. I paid quite a bit for the nexus to push my product variations. I was touting the lines of the increased activity of various soul sects. Being cautious was better than being dead, after all. That played well into the common fears for the moment.
My redesign was also pretty modular. Allowing for upgrades up to the Golden Core stage for a relatively low price compared to buying a defensive Golden Core item. The credits quickly came rolling in.
My scrying, defensive equipment took a little longer to begin capturing an audience. It did begin to take after a particular incident in the Sect. A group of demonic cultivators had taken out a high ranking team within the Sect. Their use of scrying had been pivotal in taking out the squad with minimal ease.
With that frenzy and managing to establish myself as the best in the market. I soon became one of the wealthiest chief disciples in the Sect.
That was certainly not my end goal. Establishing a trustworthy brand in the Sect would be worth far more than any single item would be able to give me. Single-use items guaranteed a captive audience. After they had saved their lives many times, the brand would certainly be a favorite amongst any cultivator in the Sect.
Like that quite a few weeks past, my cultivation had not been stagnant in that time. The otherworldly energy seemed to calm quite a bit after the breakthrough. My speed of cultivation was still quite unreal.
Through just absorbing some basic treasures, I had managed to advance to the mid-core formation realm.
My strength was still lacking among cultivators; however, I saw no one coming out against me, victorious within the core formation stage. Such was my strength.
Both my Prime and Grand Elder Leo seemed content with leaving me alone for the time. I hadn't met with Grand Elder Leo in quite some time and was almost at the point of calling him myself. I still had a lot of questions.
Those were destined to remain unanswered for a few months as some startling news spread throughout the nexus.
A tomb of a Void Destroying realm expert had been discovered on the outskirts of the continent. It must have fallen through some dimensional cracks. There had never been someone who had ascended to that stage while still on our planar realm.
Moving from the Infant Transformation stage would force you to ascend to a different plane. Never to return.
This tomb, according to the report, had descended from a dimensional rift a few days ago. Landing on an unfortunate minor sect who were utterly wiped out by the giant obelisk.
The pictures were terrifying. The giant obelisk with an unknown script wrapped around its form. Even through the pictures, I could feel its immense oppressive force.
I once again tried to move towards the Prime with my soul sense. I was blocked. It would have been noticed by all the major sects of the continent: each and every one sending a representative.
Grand Elder Leo was ours. Unsurprisingly the Towering Mountain Sect and the Grand Nether Sect were the ones to send the most cultivators to scope out the tomb.
Inside could be the secret that would ensure another Infant Transformation Cultivator. As well as the path to the mythical Void Destroying realm.
It was a treasure no sect was willing to give up.
I was a bit miffed that Leo hadn't even left a message before he up and left. There was every chance he wouldn't come back alive.
There was a fierce battle. Leo and the towering Mountain Sect eventually came out on top. His aberrant powers ensured the victory against the demonic cultivators.
I didn't know if Prime had warned our grandfather about the possible abilities of the Grand Elder. If he had, it didn't work.
Like that, him and the other five high Nascent soul elders sent by the Sect went into the tomb. The other sects soon followed.
With that, the tomb was quiet for some time. There was no news for nearly a week as everyone returned to their daily lives.
Five days after the team went into the tomb, the broadcast of the tomb began once again. The giant script began rotating as the tomb awakened from its slumber. The massive script ran all the way to the top of the obelisk before returning to its silent form.
With that, a giant green light emerged from the top of the obelisk.
Grand Elder Leo broke free from the tomb. The energy circulating him far more potent than any Nascent Soul would be capable of—even him.
The righteous sects had another Infant Transformation on their side.
