πFelix's POV π‘
I arrived at school earlier than usual and headed straight towards the bus. I got on the bus and sat in the window seat the very back. It was early so there wasn't anybody on the bus yet. I stared out the window. I was thinking about what my parents could be doing in Newcastle. Out of all the places in the world, why Newcastle? (I swear I'm not hating on Newcastle, it's just the first place that came to my mind). My thoughts were RUDELY interrupted by someone moving.
There was a boy, he looked familiar but I couldn't understand why. He had black hair. VERY black hair. And bright blue eyes. VERY bright blue eyes.
He walked up to me and introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Finick."
"I- I- I'm Felix," I managed to get out. No one ever talked to me, except for Grayson that is. I was definitely surprised, to say the least.
He pointed to the seat next to me and asked: "Can I sit here?"
"Uh.....sure," He wanted to sit next to me? The weird kid that had no friends?
"Thanks," He said and plopped down in the seat beside me.
We talked a bit more before people started to get on the bus. It was a loud ten minutes. After everyone was on, the bus began to move. We drove out of the school car park and headed towards the outskirts of the city.
I watched as the scenery outside changed from city buildings to small houses to trees. It was fascinating. One moment the buildings would be tall, then short, then they'd disappear altogether. The trees gradually began to get taller and thicker the further away we got from the city.

I felt something on my shoulder. I turned my head and saw that it was Finick. He'd fallen asleep. I was tempted to wake him up. But I didn't. He looked tired and honestly, it felt nice. I continued watching the blurring background until the bus started to slow down. The blurry green background began to resemble trees again.
[AUTHOR'S INTERUPTION]
[Okay, storytime in the middle of a chapter. This next part is based on a true story. I went to Japan with my school and one of my friends fell asleep. We stopped at this place and he was still sleeping and no one was waking him and my best friend asked -forced- me to wake him up because she shipped us (keep in mind, this guy had a girlfriend). So I had to wake him up and he was so confused and it was so awkward. And my bf (best friend....I don't have a boyfriend...or girlfriend) just sat there and laughed at me. She didn't even try to help. I felt so bad =( So yeah, just some useless information about my life. Anywayyyy....back to the actual story]
The bus came to a stop at a petrol (gas?) station, and the teacher told us to go to the toilet (still British). I had to wake Finick up. I gently shook his shoulder -I didn't want to scare him-. He didn't wake up. This was gonna be awkward.
"Finick," I loudly whispered (whisper-shouted?). That woke him up. I felt kinda bad because he looked like he was in the middle of a really good dream.
I told him what the teacher asked us to do, and he left for the toilet. I decided not to go because I'd already gone before we left and I hadn't eaten anything. After the toilet break, everyone got back on the bus -another 10 minutes of loud- and we continued our journey. I started to regret my decision to not go to the toilet after a while - gods I'm stupid sometimes -. After what felt like 2 hours - it wasn't exactly feel, it was more like know because I counted but anyway, the point is, 2 hours had passed-, we finally arrived at our destination.
π Finick's POV π
I headed towards the bus as soon as I got to school. I was early. Like, REALLY early. I thought that maybe I could get a window seat at the back of the bus. I loved staring out the window. I loved seeing the colours blend together. Little did I know that someone was already there.
I got on the bus and looked around. At first, I didn't see anything. But then I saw it. I saw a blonde-haired boy sitting in the back.
I started walking towards them so I could introduce myself. As I got closer, I noticed that he had some red streaks in his hair. It looked really good.
I got to him and introduced myself, "hi, I'm Finick," okay, that came out weird. It was like a squeak. I don't think he noticed. I hope he didn't notice.
"I- I- I'm Felix," he seemed pretty surprised. Almost as if he wasn't expecting me to talk to him.
"Can I sit here?" I asked while pointing at the seat next to him.
"Uh...sure," he seemed surprised.
"Thanks." I wasn't expecting him to say yes. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I definitely wasn't expecting that. I plopped down in the seat next to him.
I wanted to talk to him but I wasn't sure how to start a conversation. I wasn't very good at socialising. Eventually, I decided to ask him where he came from. That's something people ask right?
"Soo umm..where do you come from?" wow Finick, real smooth.
He looked a bit confused but answered anyway, "I'm from Scotland"
Scotland? My parents said it's really nice there. I'd always wanted to go there, and maybe look for the Loch Ness Monster. Before you say anything, I'll decide for myself whether it's real or not, thank you very much.
I decided to do the normal thing -at least I think it's normal- and tell him where I came from, "I'm from Ireland"
"I can tell" He seemed to be more confident now. That was good; right?
"Is it the accent?" It was probably the accent.
"Yeah.."
"I-" My voice was drowned out by the sound of people coming onto the bus. Why did they have to be so loud? The bus was soon filled with obnoxiously loud teenagers.
Did I mention (no Descendants pun intended) that they were loud?
The bus began to move shortly after everyone was seated. I watched as the scenery changed from tall city buildings to tall trees. The blurring colours made me sleepy and I think I ended up falling asleep.
I definitely fell asleep because I woke up to someone calling my name and shaking my shoulder. It was Felix. I was asleep. On his shoulder. I was blushing but I don't think Felix noticed. He told me that the teacher asked us to go to the toilet. I took this as an opportunity to escape the awkward situation, so that's exactly what I did.
I came back and saw that Felix was already on the bus. Strange. I didn't see him come off either. Maybe I just missed him. I got on the bus and took my seat beside Felix, he gave me a small smile, which I returned. No one except Olli really smiled at me. Everyone sat down and the bus started moving again. I looked out the window again, and luckily I didn't fall asleep this time. I did not want to repeat the awkward incident that happened a few minutes ago.
After a few hours, we arrived at our destination.
