"Well? Any luck?" Darshan asked.
"No. Not yet I-" Nagma stopped as Jp entered the house.
She pulled her bag strap off of her shoulder, finding it heavy. She tossed her footwear clumsily near the shoe rack.
Looking up, she stiffened as she noticed everyone staring at her,"what?" She asked
"Where were you?" Darshan asked.
"Out" she sighed," why? What did I do now?"
"They were worried" Aarav mumbled.
"Were they?" Jp looked at him, bending to arrange her shoes well,"how sweet of them" she said in a lackluster voice.
"Did you eat?" Nagma asked," and why didn't you pick my phone?"
"I ate and I didn't want to talk to anyone. I'm fine" she muttered," and I'm sorry for fucking the show up. Won't happen again" she said in the same dead voice.
Making her way upstairs she bid them a soft goodnight and retired into her room.
"She seems fine" Darshan said.
"She's upset" Aarav muttered.
