Granger arrived at the Monastery just in time for the afternoon Bell to ring. Orphans came flooding out of the classrooms, being dismissed from their classes for lunch. Their laughter made Granger envious, somewhat wishing he was as happy as they are before. Had only he wasn't born in a time of great war.

"Ssh! Fall in line, children." A beautiful and young blonde nun said with an apologizing smile as Granger walked by. He has never seen here before. Probably new, he thought before turning away.

Seeing the orphans was a rarity for Granger. At this time of day, they would come out and play and bond with their friends. Looking out to the playground, Granger stopped when a child hooded with a red cloak sat alone in the swings, isolated from all of the other kids.

A pesky boy twice her age and size came near her and he pushed her off the swings, begging for a fight, forcing Granger to interfere.

Every child in the perimeter stopped and gaze at the hunter in fear and curiosity.

"Hey, you!" Granger called the boy, making him turn with a scowl. That scowl was soon plastered by a frantic look.

"Y-Yes, s-sir?" The boy stuttered, backing away in fear.

"Back off." The Hunter ordered calmly and the boy did so, fleeing away with his flock of friends.

The small red-hooded girl hopped back to her feet. She turned to look at Granger and gave him a provoked look. "I can take care of myself, you know!" She hissed with a babylike voice which made Granger roll his eyes.

"Yeah, whatever." He muttered. Seeing he was done with, he headed back inside the building.

The girl continued to stare daggers into Granger's back. I'm not weak if that's why you saved me! She thought angrily. Only then did her fume of rage defogged when she saw the logo on his back and realized he was a demon hunter.

Granger continued climbing up to his room. He couldn't wait to collapse on his bed and black out from the world. Sleep would be the only way to distract himself. He misses her so much already. Her touch, her soft skin, lips, and-oh dear, may God forgive him-her moans. His loins still could set themselves ablaze whenever he thinks of her.

No sooner had Granger arrived at the door when the girl from the playground appeared from the corner, eyeing his every move. Granger searched himself for his room keys. Sensing someone was watching him, he slowly lifted up his gun and pointed it to the little girl's direction, ready to blast the threatening spy.

Much to his surprise, it was only the odd little girl from the playground. "It's you." He sighed in relief. The little girl walked forward as he put his fun down. "You need something, kid?"

"Kid?" She scowled. "I'm a teenage girl, as you can see!"

Granger shrugged. "You're still a kid though. But what do you want?"

"I just wanted to know why you became a demon Hunter."

"Well, long story short, I wanted to avenge my family. Now shoo. You shouldn't be here. This is the Hunter's Quarters where the orphans are restricted to enter."

"I do have parents so I'm not an orphan."

"What're you doing here then?"

"I came here by myself since I realized I couldn't able to financially support myself anymore."

He was curious. Then where were this little girl's parents? "Where are your parents now?"

"I killed them." The girl said with a wicked grin, and Granger could almost roll his eyes in disbelief.

Granger awkwardly released a clear of his throat. He doesn't like being followed, especially by a little girl with somewhat major psychological issues.

"You better leave or else." He said sharply, hoping she would be obedient despite her pesky demeanor.

The girl smirked just as he thought. "Or else what?"

No words came out of his mouth. He had no time to fight with a child. He'd been travelling for hours non-stop and his eyes are screaming for some shut eyes.

And so Granger aimed his gun at her. "Or else I'm gonna kill you."

"Meh. Do it then!" She taunted.

Becoming infuriated, Granger teleported himself to his room with the flicker spell. Pouting furiously, the girl began banging on his door. "Oh, Mr. Granger!" Granger slapped himself, irritated. "I still wanna ask you one last thing!"

"Get lost or else I'm really gonna lose it with you, kid." Granger bellowed, almost having an urge to shoot the door.

Silence filled in for the passing seconds and the Death Chanter was relieved to know she had finally left.

After taking off his coat and all of his weapons, he scooted to his bed in which he had missed so much and heaved out a long awaited sigh. Then he was knocked out of reality.

It has been five gruelling months. Five months of his absence and five whole months of waiting. The baby was now five months old in the womb. The baby bump was slowly growing and much to Guinevere's dismay, it had made her life sedentary. She's removed her corsette of her daily wear as well. All in all, the whole Palace of Baroque was happy for her and was excited for another addition to the family. And possibly, a new potential heir.

Albeit Guinevere's parents are still fazed with their expected grandchild having the blood of a non-royal but rather of a demon hunter. The family reputation has dealt with more than enough decrease already. And so Jane and her husband plans for the worst; for the greater good of their House.

"Guinevere, dear," Jane coos as she carefully combs her pregnant daughter in the dresser.

Guinevere's emerald green eyes to meet her mother's. "Yes?"

"Do you know when its father will return?" She asks, beckoning at her baby bump.

Guinevere looks down and smiled optimistically. "Soon, when I'm due. I wrote on the last letter I sent him that he should come on the specified date."

Jane mischievously raised a brow. "What did he say?"

"He hasn't wrote me back yet." The redhead said, her smile withering into a frown. "And it's been a month. Should I go to him?"

"No, no. The trip will stress your baby to death and we can't have that! I'm sure he is just occupied with rather a very difficult mission. But I will request an update on him just in case he's, you know..." Jean smiled playfully.

Guinevere gave her mother the stink eye as she shrugs her off. "Let's hope for the best then... E-Excuse me." Guinevere mumbled as she shuffled to the powder room, her bladders about to burst.
