Guinevere was humming in his arms and Granger was speechless, speaking none as he was cooed by her lullaby. He closed his eyes as his finger absentmindedly rose with the rhythm.

"Are you sleepy now?" Guinevere asked.

Granger opened his eyes once again and shook his head. "No, so keep singing."

"Hmm." She mumbled, studying why he liked her voice even though it was raspy for she was tired herself after all the steamy battle they just made minutes ago. "You know, for someone who's never done it before, you were like a professional." She said, smirking, implying about his skill in bed.

"You're a virgin too and you were like a pro yourself," Granger replied. He couldn't stop staring down at her naked chest underneath the sheets. He remembered how hungry he was while he sucked the both of it dry earlier. He wanted nothing more than to do it again.

"Were." Guinevere corrected coyly, giving him a playful look. She settled back in his chest again and took out a deep breath. "I still can't believe you're the one I would lose it to. But I'm glad, that it's you."

"Can I just say that your moans make my ears bleed?"

"Is that supposed to offend me?"

Granger laughed. He never laughed in her sight, not as much as a smile even. But he was smiling now, and she felt like she won the lottery for seeing him smile.

Noticing she was staring up at him, he stared back. "Gwen?"

"Hmm?"

"I should've told you this earlier but, Gusion and Alucard are sleeping at the neighboring room."

Guinevere's reply was delayed and Granger thought she would scream when she holds him tighter. "We can kill them if you want."

"You psychopath." Granger muttered as he ruffled her hair childishly, making her counter back. He pushed her away as he held her face, squishing it. He was laughing again and it was so adorable. "My, my, do you look so cute and annoying."

Guinevere stretched her arm, grabbing the white part of his hair and pulling his face down to bombard it with kisses. "Ha! That's a point for me."

"And three points for me." Granger said after having her pinned trapped against the mattress in a swift.

"You monster- ah!" Guinevere was fidgeting underneath him as he began biting his way down to her chest. "I'd be wearing jackets for the whole week, stop it!" She was laughing, becoming ticklish with his electrifying wet lips and sharp teeth.

Gusion Paxley was back into his foul state. He thought he had her, she can never be taken away from him, but he thought wrong.

After the night they spent separated in the cottage, the Death Chanter ran away and took his beloved with him. Gusion felt nothing but anger, an anger that can kill. He's willing to kill the infamous demon hunter with his bare hands.

Why would Guinevere chose a guy she just met? What does he have that Gusion doesn't have?

Gusion believed every girl across the Land of Dawn would be lucky to have him fall deeply for one of them, had only Guinevere wasn't of any different from the other girls. Gusion was a magnet for the ladies, he has to admit, but he would be willing to change forever and become faithful to only one person and that is Guinevere.

He has loved her ever since the first day at the Academy. She mistook him as someone else then, but they still became best friends for they shared many similarities and favorites.

Gusion was fascinated by Guinevere's fencing and magical skills, whereas Guinevere admired his love for using melee weapons in their trainings instead of only yielding magic.

They cared for each other, but Gusion cared about her more than a friend. He found out about his feelings when six years ago when Guinevere gave him a non-romantic kiss on the cheek for it was Valentine's Day. Guinevere might have forgotten it now but it's one of the most precious memories Gusion has held dear in his heart.

"Lord Gusion?" A servant of the Paxley House came knocking at the door. "The assassin you called for is at the lobby waiting for you."

"I'll be there at once, thank you." Gusion replied with a sigh.

"You're welcome, sire."

Guinevere patted the log before taking a seat. It has been hours since they arrived at the Southern Mountains. The climb was very excruciating. However, Granger doesn't seem to break a sweat. If it weren't for her frequent self-healing spells, she would surely be dead of starvation or dehydration.

Looking up, Guinivere pouted childishly. "Granger, how far is it now?"

Granger was looking around the dark untrusting woods, studying every aspect to see on what direction they should go next. "I'm unable to tell, though we should head north." He answered without sending her a glance.

They had become an official couple since the night they made love. Though as perfect as they are for each other, there's only one thing Guinevere finds annoying and it was Granger's hate for public display of affection.

Not that she doesn't emphasizes, a lady just wants to feel the love her love has for her oftentimes.

"There's a house down there." Said Granger, pointing to the house built of straws at the foot of the hill they were resting at. It wasn't as big as a cabin but it wasn't as small as a hut as well.

Guinevere stood up, her lightweight gown rustling as she hurried to stand beside him. She wrapped her hands around his arm, making him flinch. Lest, she caught his mouth twitched into a scowl.

"Granger..." She trailed off with a scolding tone. He looks down at her, giving her raised, annoyed brows. "I know how much you despise the touch. But at least tell me why."

"Let's get some shelter first-"

"You're avoiding me." She cuts him off. " Granger, if you don't like the affection I give you then-"

Thunderstruck, Granger hauls the redhead in his arms and traps her against a tree. It was abrupt and strong that her spine could crack. Nevertheless, the pain wasn't the one thing she was worried about. It was his incredulous hunger for lust, and how he immediately sucked her mouth dry. His lips then moved around her face and neck as though he was eating her alive.

"Granger..." She moaned, her mouth agape. His lips travelled from her neck to her chest, making her push him off. "Granger, wait!"

"I thought that was what you want." He muttered emotionlessly behind his mask, his red eyes pale.

"Not so straightforward as that! Just... Ugh." Guinevere walked off, facing her back against him as she crossed her arms, frustrated.

May the heavens forgive me. Is he really that complex? Guinevere thought. Granger stared at her for a moment with a poker face.

"Gwen."

"What?" She responded in her low voice. Slender arms slowly snuggled around her waist, making her full of satisfaction.

"Gwen, look out!"

Confused, Guinevere looked down to see the arms having heads. Turning around, only to be towered by a colossal three-headed snake. Granger launches a burst of bullets, aware that Guinevere was behind it.

The snake hissed aggressively as its middle head pushed over to Guinevere in a click. Its fangs dug through her the soft skin of her feet with poisonous venom.

Guinevere was able to back away before another head could bite her. For the venom was too strong, she wasn't able to stand up anymore and in no less than a second, she was unconscious.
