Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Evan walked along the corridors of the Order's Headquarters, remembering all of the memories that he made in these very halls. Soon enough, he arrived at a place known as the Hall of Heroes, a corridor with statues of the greatest angels or beings that were in service of the order. He passed through many fallen heroes, like General Leimen Haniel, who defeated a demon who threatened a whole planet but paid the ultimate price, his life. After passing many fallen or *ascended*, he saw his father standing in front of a statue of the most controversial statues in the Hall of Heroes, the first Grandmaster of the holy order, Tobias Raphael. Evan stood next to him, waiting for his father to say something. The waiting didn't take too long due to his father starting to speak: "When you see this statue, what do you see? Many would say that they see a fallen hero and the founder of what the holy order is today, but I see something different. I see a man who gave everything to protect not only his own family but also the families of others. Most importantly, I see a wise man, a powerful angel, and someone whom I once called a dear friend of mine. I also once called my sworn enemy, an enemy that I later killed. The feeling of my sword piercing through his body is something that I have regretted for three thousand years. Evan, I don't want you to do something that you will later regret. Now go, rest the fleet that will take you to retake Numentus will leave tomorrow." Evan just nodded and walked away.

Dean kept walking until he stopped on a statue of an angel, a woman who had ascended years ago. The plaque in front of the statue had written the words: "THIS IS THE STATUE REMEMBERING JOHANNA GRAY-LUCIFER, FORMER WIFE OF DEAN LUCIFER". Dean slowly muttered before walking away from the hall of heroes: "Oh Johanna, what should I do with our children?".

The next day, both Evan and Adam met in the dockyards of the planet, ready to boar the ship that will take them to Numentus. Evan took a glance at the ship that they were boarding and was supremes to see it was a ship that he knew very much. Evan joyfully commented: "Well, if it isn't the SS St. Mary Magdalen. I haven't seen this ship ever since the war against the Unnamed King. Is he still-" "Yes, he still is the Commanding Officer of the ship. I believe he's also waiting for you" Adam said. Evan quickly dashed into the ship, passing through many shipmates until he reached the ship's bridge. There he saw his best friend standing admiring the view that the main window of the bridge. He slowly turned around, looking at him very seriously. Evan quickly regained his composure and saluted at him saying: "Commander Sherman". "Please keep the pleasantries in the council meeting, I know of better ways to greet your best friend" Sherman said with a smile on his face and with open arms. They embraced in a quick hug and began to talk while waiting for the ship to leave the dockyards. "So do we have any other ships accompanying us?" Evan said. "Yeah, we have SS St. John and SS St. Francis accompanying us. They are sending two light cruisers and one heavy cruiser to take back one planet, talk about overkill" Sherman answered. "Believe me, this is not overkill". Sherman is taken aback and says: "You think I forgot what it's like to fight the armies of the Unnamed King. I remember very vividly what it feels like to fight against their fleets. Sneaky, unpredictable, a vast number of heavily armored destroyers, cruisers and carriers, these guys are a force to be reckoned with, or at least they were". Sherman commented. "What do you mean?" Evan asked. "Well, ever since the death of the Unnamed king by your hand, his army has been breaking apart, his followers are trying to take control of the army to accomplish their own ambitions, thus making what once was a force to be reckoned with into a group of demoralized demons trying to do the unthinkable, reviving the Unnamed king" Sherman answered. "Expect the unexpected, something you used to say to me all the time" Evam said. Meanwhile, the fleet had left the vicinity of the dockyards, and were preparing to leave the system, powering up their FTL drives. When the drives were ready the fleet simultaneously left the system at more than 2,000 times the speed of light and headed to Numentus.
