Guild master
In the lower sector, Selest, near the center of the sector stood a mid tier guild filled with adventurers of every species. Inside, the guild master sat in his office bored as he filled out paperwork and read through documents. The guild master was a dwarven elf. Compared to other elven types, he was shorter in stature at an average human height. His thick hair sun kissed white, long and flowing even in a braid. His chiseled jawline covered with a well trimmed beard that traced his face from his long sharp ears to his chin and ended with a bead to weigh the longer hair down and out of the way.
He is soon interrupted by a knock on the door. A human woman opens the door and lets herself in. "Mr. Maul. There is a new interesting visitor that wishes to register to the guild."
He looks at the woman with disinterest. "Interesting, huh? There are a lot of 'interesting beings in this market that come here to register what is so 'interesting about this one? Is it a noble looking to be a vanguard or something?"
"Maybe you should come and see her for yourself." the woman retorts.
"Hah! I'll see 'her'? Then I'll have to expect the worst of the better. What makes you think I'd be interested in this one?"
"She wants to be a scavenger. I'm sure you know what that means."
Mr. Maul sighs in annoyance. "... sarcasm is unbecoming of you, Lethara. Fine. Send them to the back at once. Might as well get this over with."
Lathara leaves with a big smile on her face. Mr. Maul sighs as he follows her reluctantly out to the main hall where a young noble mage girl stood nervously at the counter until she notices him and turns as red as a tomato. He ignores her and goes to the other door to the training hall where Mr. Brights stood at the door waiting for him. The two enter a large room set like a class auditorium. In one of the seats sat a small green goblin with long, twitchy ears and a small, childish, face with a tiny button nose and large cat eyes full of curiosity and focus. He quickly looks away from the little goblin before the goblin notices him staring and walks behind the desk to see Brights' records on the goblin. He was baffled at how similar the goblins skill sets were to his. He started feeling like his favored god was toying with him.
This didn't surprise him. The red god was a frivolous and fickle god that loved to see the weak strive for power. The red god especially loved high intelligence and tactical minds that can use trickery to its fullest. The fact that a goblin received this sort of favor irritated him but also peaked his interest greatly. When he saw the goblins name, however, his irritation instantly became confused.
"... What is your name?" Maul asks.
"Tessa Greenwood." the goblin answers, a strangely satisfying and soft, deep voice rubbing through the room and making Maul's ears feel warm as the twitch. "Soon to be accepted into the Halliway family after this."
He looks through the paper again and sees the goblins' gender did say female but her species wasn't listed. He grabs a pen from the cup next to him and gets ready to write.
"Tessa Greenwood, what sort of goblin are you?" he asks Tessa.
"Uh… Dragonjaw."
Maul sneaks a glance at her and studies her figure for a while, then finally notices her abnormal jaw structure. "... Ah. You are indeed. It all makes sense now. Tessa, my name is Adler Maul. I'm the master of this guild. You will be taking the second test with me and Mr. Brights. Come this way, please."
"Wait a minute!? What do these mean? And who else?"
Brights turns to face Tessa with a smile of confidence. "Ah... Me! My bad I forgot to introduce myself. Micah Brights. Those mean you qualify to take the seeker AND all-rounder test."
"R-really!?"
"Come on. We will begin outside of the wall. Might as well get this over with." Maul was now somewhat eager to see what this favored goblin was capable of to have a skill set so similar to his. He was itching to test her might and train her.
