Alex was very excited to hear his first kill led to an adaptation, since it usually took five to ten kills to get one.
Before opening his status to choose an adaptation a couple things needed to be done to ensure further survival.
Firstly Alex dragged the Crystal Rabbits body away and found a nice place to hide it and himself. Secondly Alex took some plants with long leaves and braided them together to make a rope. He took a long palm like leaf and put it on his had, because he needed to lower the chance of infection as well as stop the bleeding. He took the rope and wraped it around the leaf and his hand so there would be a constant pressure.
Now that Alex was safe and not in immediate danger he softly calls out status.

"This is a very good attribute to start with." Alexs thinks. He observes his body to see the difference. when touching his arm he can tell that his skin has gotten more compact like a new callous but everywhere.
Also places like his hands back and shins have become sharper and tougher then the rest of his skin. Alexs walks to a small nearby tree and punches it lightly to test his ability.
His fist leaves some indents and cuts in the bark which is pretty great. Next he sits back down near his latest kill and checks his characteristics changes.

These characteristics are pretty good for just starting most humans stats are within 5 to 10 for the first for. All humans start with a three in recovery, and honestly I don't know if there is an average luck. Alex never considered himself unlucky though so he didn't bother much thinking about it.
Alex finds some needed items before he continues on his search for water. He grabs a good two foot stick he van use as a weapon short term. Even though his fist may do more damage it is always good to have some sort of weapon for distance. Next he grabs a rock he plans to turn into a crude knife and then more of those long thick leaves to make more rope.
Alex looks into the sky it is about 11:30 now so he has plenty of time before dark. Alex makes a basic knife then skins, guts and prepares the rabbit. He uses the skin to make a basic kilt to cover up his crotch, because he has head of many duded who loose there crotch in a fit and then commits suicide to heal it. Of course that only works on lower stages.
He makes sure to make deep pockets on his kilt so he can hold the jerky he is about to make. Alex uses the hardened hairs on the Rabbits back to make a brass knuckle like equipment. and he also makes it into a thick chocker, and no not for fashion but to help defend his most vulnerable body part.
Now Alex is cooking Rabbit jerky and watching out for any other animal attacks.
Luckily there were no beast so Alex ate some rabbit then carried as much as he could in his pocket but since the rabbit was so bing he could only fit a third of it in his stomach and pocket, so he left the rest to be consumed by the world.
Alex now starts to head further in search of flowing water.
