Meanwhile back at the bookstore Old Ben couldn't get the wound on Rebekah's side to close or even heal. To his fear a poison was used that is blocking magic from being used to heal her. As for Joy she was being embraced by Lilly for comfort and support. This left Judah who was confused as he looked down at Rebekah while his one paw found it's place just below his neck which caused his eyes to shoot open.
"Where is her pendent?" asked Judah and when the three adults looked at him puzzled he fished his out before adding, "Marcus forged and gave both of us identical pendants and made us promise to never take them off. Where is her's?"
"I don't know?" confessed Joy trying to remember the lat time she'd seen her with it on.
"That crest it's our family crest." softly added Lilly glancing down at her ring.
"If she'd made him a promise then it is ore then likely still on her." replied Old Ben as he began to search her neck for the chain. "Wait it's not here."
