What is a Paladin?
To some they are power hungry warlords seeking to control everyone. To others they are wizards that can't be trusted. Then to some they are ancient knights of old but for my father they were honor-bound Warriors of peace and justice.
Yet to me, they were just another fairy tale and legend told by adults to get kids to behave. That is until I met him. He was a young male anthropomorphic fox dressed in white and golden tunic with strange embroidered symbols that I'd never seen before. This is that man's story of which I'd receive from him long after this first encounter.
Oh Who am I? Well that is something of a mystery for now I guess for even if I gave you my name, race or even parentage none of it would yet make sense to you. For these were dark times where many dark creatures roamed the world and a time of pain and suffering. It was indeed a hard time where it was easier to judge and hate then it was to forgive and love. Especially if you were considered to be different in any way shape or foam.
As for the hero of our tale well he was a special kind of different but that's what made him unique and special. In fact it's what made them all special. So for now forget about who I am and lets dive into the tale of the Last Paladin and his early days.
