"I know. But I forgot to give you this..." I looked into his hand, and there was my yellow hair tie. "Sorry. I swapped it when you weren't looking." The humour in his voice was returning.
I fisted my ponytail and pulled out what I thought was my hair tie. I looked at the hair tie, and it was a scrunchi with a cute little sushi man on it. "What's this?" I chuckled, my voice breaking.
"I saw it and thought you would like it being a sushi fiend and all." Eiichi smiled, and I looked up just in time to see his brilliant and soft features stare at me lovingly. My eyes began to water, and I reached out to hug him tightly, as I tried to bury my sobs into his firm chest. Eiichi patted my head continuously, and his hold tightened as he whispered gently to me.
"It's going to be alright."
