(A little time has passed since Kitara and Eden's standoff. All of the tension and anger has now subsided from Kitara as she makes her way back into Dante's hideout where she approaches Dante as he is sharpening his blade.)
Kitara: Hey Dante, do you have a moment?
(Without looking at her, Dante answers as he continues sword sharpening process.)
Dante: What is it, Kitara? Are you having second thoughts about leaving?
Kitara: No, I just wanted to come and apologize to you. Earlier I tried goating you into a fight. I let my emotions takeover and I nearly turned it onto you. I'm ashamed that I lacked such control, especially around Marcy. It was wrong of me.
Dante: Save your apologies for someone who needs them. You don't have to explain yourself to me, Kitara. I of all people should understand where you were in that moment. If you are serious about finding your mother's killer, then you may want to see Lenneth given that she may know more then she ever let's on.
Kitara: I was thinking the same. What will you be doing while I'm away?
Dante: When I first met Kura, she gave me a letter that come lead me to find some remnants of my father's clan and lineage. I think it's possibly time for the both of us to look inwards into our pasts yet again to find a new path forwards.
Kitara: And what of the Astral Cube? What exactly do you plan to do with it?
Dante: Exactly what I've been doing. I will continue to coalesce with it to become more attuned to its enigmatic aura. Another reason why I'm choosing now to seek out my clan, in hopes to find something or someone who can help me learn more about Shuketsugan. I have an theory that if is possible, that could be a tremendous boon and will allow me to utilize some of my birth given abilities.
Kitara: Care to share as to what your theory is?
Dante: No. You'll just have to wait until the next time you see me to see if I succeed or not.
Kitara: I should've expected you to say something like that. I don't want to prolong this or keep Marcy waiting for much longer. I think we'll be taking our leave to speak with Lenneth, but before I go I want to give you something.
(Kitara summons a small pouch and tosses it to Dante.)
Kitara: Inside that is magic tuned compass. It is inbued with Marcy and I's magical essence. It's a two-way communicator, so you'll be able to see our location or contact us through it.
Dante: I take it this is for if anything should happen.
Kitara: Correct.
Dante: Let's hope that we don't have to use it as call for backup. Just trust that if-
(Knowing what Dante was going to say, Kitara cuts him off.)
Kitara: If I'm in trouble, you'll come and save me. You're way too predictable, Dante.
(Dante chuckles to himself as he conceals his sword.)
Dante: Then it's like you said. Don't put this off for much longer. You've waited years for this. All I ask is that you be careful.
Kitara: You know me. I'll do my best. May you have good luck in finding something about your family. I know that's been weighing on you even though you've never mentioned it.
Dante: I think it's time you and Marcy headed out.
Kitara: Yeah, I believe you're right.
Dante: Until next time, Kitara.
Kitara: Don't go and get yourself killed Dante.
Dante: Likewise to you. So long.
(As Dante says this, he and Kitara share a long and deep hug. Kitara then heads put where Marcy awaits.)
Kitara: You're ready to go, Marcy?
Marcy: Where are we heading to first?
Kitara: Back to Crow's Perch to speak with Lenneth. After that, who knows? However, one thing I do know is that we'll get to the bottom of it together.
Marcy: I'm with you.
(Kitara then creates a portal & they both walk through. Elsewhere hours later in the Lockheart Royal Palace, Stephen sits alone in the garden. Still hurting from not only the grueling invasion, but even more so from the betrayal of his father, Mason.)
Stephen: Is he the one you've been seeing the entire time, Dante? I..I just can't wrap my head around it all!
(Stephen says with confusion and deep frustration. Quickly he gathers himself as looks around to see if anyone heard him. He sighs as he begins to slip into the feeling of loneliness. This is when Kate walks up to Stephen's surprise and sits next to him as they look out into the night sky. They can both feel the huge blow that was dealt to them by someone they had believed one if their own. Kate puts her arm around Stephen.)
Kate: I know that with everything that has happened, that you hurting and confused about what exactly happened with your father. I, myself don't know why. This comes with a wave of questions that we don't have the answers to. However, right now I'm just glad that I still have you and your brother.
Stephen: Do you think we'll see Dante again? It didn't seemed like he wanted to do with any of us.
Kate: Dante is family, Stephen. He may not show it, but he cares.
Stephen: If he cared, then why wouldn't he stay knowing Mason isn't here anymore?
Kate: Stephen...Dante lives in a much different world than we do.
Stephen: That doesn't exclude him from his family.
Kate: No it does not. Dante will come around when the time is right. Just give him time, he just earned his freedom after so long.
Stephen: I know. Not to mention everything else to do with Chaos. That reminds me of something. Have you ever seen a "Black Sun" before?
Kate: No I can't say I ever recalled seeing or knowing anything about a "Black Sun". Why do you ask, Stephen?
Stephen: No reason. It just came to me, nothing more. If it's okay, I think I'll go to my chambers. I am of need of rest. With everything that has happened, I believe you should get some too, Mother.
Kate: Rest well my son.
(Stephen leaves as he waves goodnight.)
