For the next couple weeks the two Spartan, would roam the facilities and gather whatever information they could. Sadly, like Lama Su had said all the stuff that the Kaminoans had related to either themselves or their research. The only source of outside information was Jango and he was tight lipped and they had no idea why. He always talks well about Diesel and the things he does, but refuses to let them mee or even talk. Creating excuses as for why they can't
Dom decided that something else was probably going on that kept Jango so closed off. "Sophia, the next time we are roaming the facilities I want you to hack into the security and spy on Jango."
"I already have. I haven't spotted anything unusual. But I'm keeping an eye out."
"Good, I'm gonna go visit the clones. Keep working on invading the systems."
Dom gets up and starts walking toward the clone training hall. The clones again were practicing drills of all sorts. To the far left was a target range, to the right is something similar to earth. Breaking and entering the clearing room of enemies. Dom kept walking and eventually arrived at an area where there were clones in different color armors. One of the clones noticed the presents of Dom and walked over.
"Sir, I'm CT-7567 are you a clone?" The reason CT-7567 assumed that Dom might be a clone was because he saw him last time running the siege course. What he witnessed amazed him, how could two people totally shatter a group of ten clones, who were built for war.
Dom looks over to the clone shaking his head. "I'm not a clone, I'm a Spartan."
"A Spartan sir?"
"Maybe one day you'll understand, if you ever met a Spartan you better hope they are on your side."
CT-7567 sits there for a few moments thinking about what Dom has mentioned. "So in your opinion would a clone be able to fight a Spartan."
--Dom--
"Impossible, as you clones stand right now you have no individualism. Because to that it makes you very predictable. Fighting a battle or a war is more than what you see on paper. A single moment or a single person can change the course of a battle."
"Think of it this way CT-7567. In battle nothing is absolute but if you hesitate you may lose your life. Always fight without hesitation.
(I know this isn't really canon for clones, because early/before the clone wars it was recorded if clones were thinking with too much individualism they were considered defective and were taken into process. Anyways, I'm pushing individualism forward.)
"Also, CT-7567 you're more than just a number. I'm Spartan-017 the name is Dom. How does Rex sound?"
"Rex? What do you mean?"
"I mean I'm giving you the name Rex. Like I said, you're not just a number."
"I'm Rex then?
After a few moments of exchange Dom left on his way meeting up with Lama Su. Explaining to him what he has done.
"I've accelerated your process ahead of schedule, the result for some clones will leave for satisfying results."
"Why would giving them a name change anything?"
"It's the mental state of an individual, it helps them develop a sense of belonging. If I belong here with these people> I would fight harder to protect them. For Example."
--Rex returning to his squad--
"Welcome back CT-7567, what were you talking about with him?"
"The name is Rex, he explained some of our shortcomings as soldiers and gave me a name. Also, he isn't a clone."
"Rex? That's your name?"
"Correct."
--Sophia--
Nothing was happening with Jango, so she decided to hack into the Kaminoans servers and find out other things. Although the premise of what they were doing was amazing in its own right. There was nothing she could do about it. She drove deep within the system eventually coming across the data on the current clones.
The clones were ordered by a Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas who wanted them to be built for the Republic. Unfortunately, the man died out on a mission. So the project was taken over by Tyranus, once he took over there were slight modifications and requests made to the creation of the clones. It look like they were implanted with a *inhibitor chip*. This made Sophia curious, she opened the recorded data for the inhibitor chip and read its contents.
"Clone Protocol 66 : Labels all Jedi as traitors to the Republic and are sentenced to on-site execution."
Sophia decided she needed more information on the chip and found that it was impossible for the clones to resist as it erased biases and their beliefs. It forced the clone to view Jedi as a threat to be eliminated at all cost. Sophia decided it would be best to download all the data about the inhibitor chips. They could decide what to do later after Dom sees the data.
