Inside the exhibit, Leon was lying down on the ground, seemingly unconscious just as the dust around him began to settle down. Then, he began to cough a bit and as he slowly got up to his feet, he looked around him. Shattered glass pieces from the display cases on his far-right, some of the artifacts are clattered and a bit broken on the ground.
Leon then checked himself as he dusted his clothes. "I'm gonna assume that I'm the only one inside" he muttered to himself,
He turned around and looked at the pile of rocks blocking what was once the entrance to this exhibit. As he approached it to see if he could find a way out, he heard a familiar voice, or rather, "voices".
On the other side of the wall, Nicole was arguing with the security guard while Barbara was on her knees as she sat on the ground, looking at the wall in horror at what she had witnessed.
"You have to let me go help him!" Nicole yelled at the security guard, "My friend is in there!"
The guard, on the other hand, kept blocking her path, saying, "I know, ma'am, but there's nothing we can do for now. The cops will be here any minute now,"
Nicole stomped her foot on the ground in frustration. But just before she was being escorted out of the museum along with the other students who were evacuated, she heard a voice from the other side of the wall, "Hello?? Anyone there??"
Hearing this, Nicole turned back and ran to the wall yelling, "Leon?! Oh my god, you're alive! Are-are you okay??"
On the other side of the wall, Leon smiled as he heard Nicole's voice. "Yeah! *cough**cough* I'm fine! But what about you? You okay?"
"I'm fine. We're getting help so stay put, okay?" Nicole said,
Leon nodded as she said that, "Yeah, okay. I'll try to stay put." he replied, as he looked around to find a rock to sit on for the time being.
However, just as he was about to walk over to a rock he saw nearby, he felt a bit of crunching sounds below him. Just before he can react, the ground beneath him crumbled and a large hole formed below but Leon managed to hold onto the ledge.
'Phew... I'm safe' Leon thought to himself but just as he was about to pull himself out, the ledge that he was holding on to began to break. His eyes widened in horror as he watched it happen. "Me and my big mouth--AAAAAAAAAaaaa---!" He tried to pull himself up but his foot slipped and the ledge broke causing him to slide down the hole, his voice trailed off as he descended the hole.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the exhibit, Barbara heard his voice and turned around to see if he was okay but was escorted out of the museum by the security guards.
On the other hand, Leon was sliding down the hole he fell in. There were a bunch of twists and turns but Leon was just laying on his back and looking ahead in case something might happen on the way down.
Then, he saw the light at the end of the tunnel. He didn't know whether to feel relieved or be on high alert. He got out of the slide and landed on his butt but quickly shrugged off the pain and got up to his feet.
Leon waited for a few minutes but quickly realized that he was in some sort of cavern with a line of torches on the walls. He picked one up and carried it as he walked around cautiously.
'Okay. I need to find my way back,' he thought to himself. He remembered the slide but when he turned back, the hole had been covered up, or rather, it shrunk as if the hole was never there. 'Aight. Guess I'll play their game for now,'
Leon held up his torch as he carefully trekked down the hallway, trying to see if he could find another way out. He tried following the lined-up torches but ended up in a dead-end one to three times in a row.
'Okay, this is is ridiculous. It's like this maze just wants to toy around with me and I'm not having any of it,' He thought to himself, "Just take me to where you want me to go and get it over with!" he yelled and in frustration, he threw his torch to the wall and it clattered to the ground but it didn't set the place on fire.
Leon breathed heavily as he tried to calm down but something caught his eye. A crack had formed in the wall that he was standing in front of, revealing a glint of light. Seeing this, he quickly picked up his torch and immediately looked around him to find a rock laying around.
He picked up a rock and began bashing it against the wall. Slowly but surely, the crack on it got bigger until it was easy enough to break through it like a cookie.
Feeling excited, he got through, hoping that he would find an exit. However, his smile faded as he realized that he was in another room but with many different pathways.
He then noticed that the room was large with a giant hole in the ceiling as the light shined down from it. But Leon noticed something at the center of the room. Fragments of shattered glass from a display box and on it was the long sword from the exhibit.
'How did this get here?' He thought to himself but then looked up. 'I guess it fell when the earthquake happened,'
Just as Leon was about to look around, he felt another invisible wave pass through him. He didn't know it but he turned around and looked at the sword. It was as if it was calling out to him. Curious, Leon slowly approached the sword with his right hand extending to it. He couldn't see it but a green glow began to form around his body as well as the sword as he draws closer to it.
But just as he was inches from touching it, the whole room began to shake a bit as a large voice surrounds the area yelling, "DON'T TOUCH THAT SWORD, HUMAN!"
Upon hearing that, Leon snapped out of his daze and cautiously looked around him but no one was there.
"Who are you?" he asked while holding the torch in his hand, "Show yourself!"
The only reply he got was a burst of maniacal laughter that covers the area like a large stereo. Suddenly, the room began to shake as large footsteps began drawing closer and closer. Leon kept looking through the different pathways, trying to find the source of the shaking.
Then a creature emerged from one of the pathways. A large lizard, with scales that appear very sharp. From its waist, down to its legs is a black chainmail legging with two straps crossed across its body with a piece of iron armor on its left shoulder. Its tail is seemingly long and has spikes on its side. The creature's appearance alone speaks, "Deadly monster. You will never live to tell the tale".
Leon looked at the creature in shock and horror. 'Me and my big mouth,' he thought to himself,
The large armored lizard laughed maniacally, "Don't you even dare think about touching that artifact coz it. is. MINE!" it said in a loud threatening tone as it takes its steps toward Leon,
Leon took a few steps behind, trying to watch the creature's movements while he tries to find a way out of the cave. "And I thought lizards or scaly creatures like you are left in cages," he taunted the giant lizard, "Also, how's this artifact even yours to begin with?"
The armored lizard gritted its teeth while looking back at Leon with a menacing stare, "Don't know, don't care." it replied, "Regardless, that blade belongs to me,"
"I doubt that," Leon said as he carefully stepped back and inched closer to the sword, "It looks to me that this sword doesn't even have your name imprinted on it,"
The creature noticed this and snarled at Leon before it pounced. Leon saw this and quickly grabbed the sword with both hands before jumping to the side, avoiding the lizard's attack.
Leon clung onto the sword as he looked ahead of him, seeing the lizard getting up. He looked around to find somewhere to hide but failed to realize that the lizard's tail and hit Leon causing him to fling to the side, crashing to the stone walls before landing hard on the ground. THUD!! He lost his grip on the sword as it was thrown into the air and was caught by the lizard on its tail.
The armored lizard looked at the sword it caught on its tail and laughed maniacally, "Did you really think that you, a puny human, could even stand a chance against the likes of me?! Pathetic!!" it taunted,
Leon crawled on the ground as he tries to get up. He noticed a few stones on the ground. He quickly got up to his feet and sneakily grabbed the stones while running around, circling the beast.
The armored lizard noticed him running around him, "And what're you doing now, huh?" the beast continued to taunt Leon, "You still think you could be of a match against me?!"
Leon paid no attention to the beast's words and then started throwing three rocks at its head, causing the beast to flinch. Seeing this, Leon stopped in his tracks and ran the other way, as he then proceeds to hurl more rocks at the beast, changing directions at the right moment,
The armored lizard, on the other hand, was confused as to the many rocks being thrown at it, "Ugh! Would you quit it?!" it yelled, "And stay still! You're only delaying the inevitable!"
Leon smirked at the beast's reaction and continued to hurl rocks at it. He then stopped behind the beast and using broken glass, stabbed the beast by its tail. The armored lizard felt the pain and yelled, causing it to lose its grip on the sword, to which Leon took this chance to take it back.
The armored lizard looked back at its tail and noticed that the sword is missing as he sees Leon holding it. Irritated by this, the beast lunged at Leon with its claws about to slash him, but Leon instinctively lifted the sword in front of him blocking the attack. However, the impact of the attack caused the sword to crack but Leon didn't notice.
The creature, now furious, raised its other claw and was about to take the final blow to Leon but he quickly pushed the beast's claw away by swinging the sword at it, leaving a scratch on it. Then the armored lizard staggered back while holding its wounded claw and snarling at Leon.
On the other hand, Leon smirked as he gripped the sword and carried it with ease. However, before he could make any moves, the crack on the sword grew bigger and cleaved the sword in two. CRACK!!
Leon looked at the broken sword in shock. 'Uh-oh,' he thought to himself.
The creature laughed, "Have you learned nothing, human??" it taunted, "Someone as weak and fragile as you can never go toe-to-toe with the likes of me!"
Leon heard this but didn't falter, "You're right with me being a human, but you forgot one thing," he said as his energy began to rise. He didn't notice that his eyes glowed green and as well as his aura began to show a giant green silhouette of a lion standing behind him, glaring at the giant lizard menacingly.
The creature noticed Leon with such a powerful aura that even the beast suddenly took a step back, "And what might that be?" it asked, trying its best not to feel intimidated.
Leon held his two swords back and said, "Humans have potential. Something like a creature like you will never understand!" He yelled as he swung his two swords, releasing what sounded like a loud roar and the ground beneath them began to shake violently again.
As the creature struggled to maintain its balance, Leon stood firmly on the ground as if he doesn't feel like the ground didn't move in his point of view. His body began to glow green and the light shined brightly for a few seconds until the light faded.
Leon is now covered in some sort of black and green armor, black boots with a hooded green coat on top. He also has a green eye shield along with a black face mask covering his nose to his mouth. In addition to that, the broken sword that he held onto turned into two identical-looking swords and at just the right size for him to carry in both hands.
As he stood there, he could see that the giant lizard was intimidated by his new appearance. Leon gripped his sword as he got into his stance, "Let's end this. Once and for all!" he yelled as he charged straight at the beast,
