It is a calm and quiet morning. The birds are chirping in the sky, leaves rustling as the wind breezes past. A herd of rabbits is seen hopping around the grass until they sensed something that made them hop out of the way.
A young boy jumped over them and continued running into the woods. He has blonde hair, wearing a green shirt, grey jacket, dark blue pants, brown boots and is carrying a bow and a quiver of arrows on his back.
He parkoured through a bunch of boulders, jumped from one tree to another, and rolled to the ground to the point where he pulled out his bow and arrow and aimed at something in the distance.
As he took a deep breath and aimed at his target, he let the arrow fly and it landed at the center of a tree. The boy quickly got up and ran to where he shot the arrow.
By the time he got there, he smiled as he saw that the arrow landed on the red bull's eye that was painted on the tree.
"Good job, Leon!" someone called out,
Leon turned around and saw his uncle clapping his hands as he is walking towards him. "Thanks, Uncle Jerry," he told his uncle.
"I have to admit that you were kinda slow but at least you made the shot." Uncle Jerry pointed out.
"Jee, thanks I guess."
Uncle Jerry chuckled, "Now let's go back inside. It's almost time for lunch."
"Is it gonna be fried fish again?" Leon asked,
"You're gonna have to find out for yourself, kiddo." Uncle Jerry scratched his beard and smiled as he turned around and walked the other way.
Leon rolled his eyes and followed him back to the house. By the time they arrived, Leon took out his bow and arrow and placed it inside near the door.
But his bow tumbled over and landed on a basketball that rolled to the skateboard then hit the drawer which led to one picture frame falling off and just seconds before it landed on the floor, Leon grabbed it. He placed the picture frame back on top of the drawer and saw his parents holding him as a baby.
Suddenly, something flashed into his mind. A memory of some sort. He saw a bus and in it were some teens. They look like they were going on a trip and it looks like they're having fun. Then the memory faded in an instant when Leon blinked as he heard his uncle calling out to him from the kitchen.
"Leon! It's dinner time," his uncle said,
"I'll be there in a moment," Leon replied as he walked towards the dining hall. As he sat down on the chair, Leon grabbed one of the napkins and placed it on his lap before picking up the utensils and started eating his meal.
A minute went by and Uncle Jerry finished eating and wiped his mouth with his napkin. "I think it's time for you to go back to school," he told Leon,
Leon stopped munching on his food, placing his utensils to the side as he wiped his mouth. "When?" he asked,
"Tomorrow at the soonest," his uncle replied,
"I see," Leon calmly spoke as he continued eating,
His uncle raised his eyebrow as he is confused, "Um, is that it?" he asked,
Leon looked at his uncle, "What is it, uncle?" he replied,
"I noticed that you seem calm about it," his uncle explained, "Normally, you would complain about stuff like that,"
Leon smirked, "I was just a kid back then. Plus I don't seem to find what you said as a problem at all,"
"So, you're okay with that?" his uncle asked,
"Positive," Leon assured him,
His uncle seemed unsure about it but just shrugged it off, "Alright, you might wanna go upstairs to your room and get ready." he said, "We're leaving tonight,"
Leon had just finished eating. He quickly wiped his mouth with the napkin and calmly walked out of the dining hall.
'I wonder if he's okay,' his uncle thought as he sees his nephew go up to his room,
Leon went to his room and immediately grabbed his luggage opening it. He then walked up to his closet and brought out his neatly folded clothes and placing it in his luggage followed by grabbing his backpack and filled it with most of his gadgets and chargers.
When he was done packing everything, he carefully surveyed the room. The blankets and bedsheets are folded properly as they were placed on top of the bed plus the closets and drawers are empty.
Then, there was a knock on the door. Knock. Knock. Leon turned around and opened it only to find his uncle standing there with his luggage prepped up and ready.
"Ready?" Uncle Jerry asked,
Leon didn't respond but nodded instead before grabbing his backpack and luggage as he is dragging them out of the room. By the time they were both outside the house, Leon placed one luggage into the trunk of the car while his luggage is placed in the backseat of the car. When everything is settled, Leon walked to the front seat of the car and got inside, followed by his uncle who was twisting the key to start the engine. When the engine started to rev, his uncle held onto the steering wheel.
"Ready, Leon?" Uncle Jerry asked,
Leon just looked through the window. "Yeah, I'm good," he replied,
"Did you go to the bathroom before getting in the car?" his uncle asked again,
"I've already done that," Leon replied calmly, "Bout you? Did you pack any gas in case the fuel runs out?"
"Of course I did," Uncle Jerry chuckled nervously, then he thought to himself, 'Oh crud. I totally forgot about that,'
On the other hand, Leon reached into his backpack and took out his Mp3 player and earphones as he turned it on playing the music. Then, as Uncle Jerry stepped on the gas pedal, they are off through the night.
