Deliah and Micheal were shrouded with silence as they stared at each other dumbly. Both of them have too much to say, yet so little they can form in words. Years of separation also did not help in dispelling the awkwardness between them.
It was Deliah who was the first to speak up between them. Her eyes were full of indescribable feelings as she uttered her words.
"What made you come to me? Didn't you leave us for whatever that institution had offered you?" Deliah tried to sound less bitter, but her words came out just as that. Full of anger, confusion and all sorts of mixed feelings.
"I have never come to our family since I was taken there." Micheal took a few beats before he answered. "I heard from Leila, your daughter about the incident when I met her. "
"Leila? When have you met my daughter?" Distress was evident in her tone as she asked that.
