Chereads / SWORDSWOMAN: The Few Unrecorded Decades / Chapter 64 - Bountiful Disaster

Chapter 64 - Bountiful Disaster

Several days later, all the damages caused by the invaders in Hong Empire are either replaced or repaired. The bustling empire has recovered quickly like nothing had happened. Even the small businesses in the side walk of the capital are back to their normal operation.

Inside the Hong Palace, Emperor Hong Te and Princess Hong Mei are sorting all the items that her daughter had exploited.

"My daughter is so capable! Hohoho My daughter, do you think it is bad that I am starting to hope that more enemies will invade our small empire? Although intruders bring disaster still I can see that it's beneficial in the end. It was a bountiful kind of disaster! Last time was a good harvest! Hohoho" Emperor Hong Te started talking while checking some items on the pile in front of them.

When Princess Hong Mei heard what the emperor had said, her body unexpectedly jolted from her seat and lost balance that almost fall from her chair.

"Father!" she looked at Emperor Hong Te with disbelief.

"I know. I know. As the emperor, I should not think of the calamity to come to our empire. But-" the emperor started to explain unfortunately he was interrupted by her daughter.

"There is no but, father. I was just lucky. These things were not the most valuable gain that we got. It is our business partnership from someone who is adept in medicine and poison."

"Why is that? It's just a business alliance." Emperor Hong Te shrugged his shoulder, completely oblivious of what his daughter is thinking.

"Because her skill is one of a kind. She is capable of death at the same time, she can also provide a cure. This kind of skill is rare to find." Princess Hong Mei explained while remembered the poison she had used last night.

Emperor Hong Te did not fully understand her daughter but still nods his head several times.

"We can use our victory against the invaders to raise your reputation to the people, father. I received several reports from the north that the people are demanding to decrease the payment of their business registration."

"I disapproved of their request. How dare they complain. Besides, I don't care about this reputation." Emperor Hong Te frowned.

"Even if you don't care, a good reputation is still important in business. Father, how about you write a decree that our empire will celebrate a holiday on the next two days." Princess Hong Mei handed a pen and paper to her father. She is waiting for him to write but the emperor just stared at the paper.

"My daughter, what is a holiday?" Emperor Hong Te asked with his puzzled look.

"Oh, it is a special day and every citizen in our empire is required to celebrate. Father, you can also announce that if business owners will pay the renewal of their business registration in advance, we will provide a 5% discount to them. In this way, those who had desired to decrease their payment fee can pay us in advance." Princess Hong Mei responded.

"Okay, I will write my decree now." Emperor Hong Te said and started writing.

After a few hours, a servant came in bringing an urgent letter from Emperor He Mo.

Upon reading, Princess Hong Mei suddenly felt excited.

"This Emperor from He Empire is indeed worthy of many praises." Princess Hong Mei subconsciously muttered.

"Oh? If you like the young emperor, I approve of your marriage. But I don't think he will make you as his empress, my daughter." Emperor Hong Te expressed with caution.

"Father, don't spout nonsense! This time, he just wanted to use our business and announce to all emperors in this region about the progress of the Yellow River conflict. According to his letter, the Huang Empire had fallen, as well as the Chi Empire. Now he is looking for an alliance in subjugating the whole of Region A. Those empires who choose to support shall contact the Ru Empire." Princess Hong Mei told her father the content of the letter.

"Oh... Alright, I will start moving our people." Emperor Hong Te answered enthusiastically and stood up. He had already imagined his profits and forgot the marriage he just brought up for his daughter. Princess Hong Mei keeps her head shaking until her father went out of the room.

When the announcement was released to all magazine branches in each empire, every emperor had expressed their interest. Most of the empires had quickly sent an envoy to the Ning Empire to send their message of support while some had sent their advisors.

Meanwhile, on the side of King Ru Ning and his Ru soldiers, they ended the battle victoriously. After King Ru Ning had successfully defeated the Huang Soldiers, he did not proceed in his advance attack towards the Huang Empire.

Emperor He Mo told him to return first to the Ru Empire and looked for allies. The young emperor told him that by the time his troops reappears to attack the Huang Empire, their goal will be to usurp the entire region.

When King Ru Ning arrived at the Palace of Ning, he was surprised by the number of envoys that are waiting for him. At first, he did not understand why Emperor He Mo had asked him to come back to his empire. But when he learned about the envoys' reason for looking at him, he finally realized that the young emperor had made preparations and arranged everything!

Another day passed by and everyone reached an agreement. The Empire of Hei dispatched their soldiers to assist King Ru Ning while the Hu Empire provided expert physicians. The Hong Empire stands on its business principle and sent people to lurk and document this entire battle.

As the new group forms, so are their new mission and goals. They planned to subjugate and unify the entire Region A and create a peaceful and magnificent country.

Not long after, huge troops of armies consisting of soldiers, physicians, and lurkers are now marching back towards the territory of Region A.

On the other side, Emperor He Mo and the two women accompanying him have already sneaked inside the Huang Empire waiting for the arrival of King Ru Ning. They have managed to build a camp near its border entrance.

Hao Fei had been trying her best to get the young emperor's attention that some of her tricks had already annoyed Emperor He Mo. The man observed his bodyguard's reaction towards flirtatious Hao Fei but it would seem like there is always nothing for him to see other than Ye Shin's calm demeanor. This made Emperor He Mo felt somehow more irritated.

Not long after, the three heard a distinct sound of horses galloping. When they heard this signal of King Ru Ning's arrival the three immediately left their camp and went to meet him.
