After finishing the interview, Ling Xe rushed back to her apartment. Her deep brown eyes and brown hair can easily attract the attention of anyone. But no one was able to imagine that this adorable woman has gone through so many struggles in her life. Ling Xe has a strong personality and intelligence. She doesn't like to rely on anyone and this is another reason she did not argue to live in her so called parental home. As she entered her room, she left a sigh of relief. It has taken more than two months for her to find a suitable job. She cannot help smiling while remembering today's interview. It was quite a success. Ling Xe thought for a moment and then received the call with her trembling hand. She heard a voice full of disgust calling out her name. " Ling Xe, come to my house in the evening"
"Why? Do you need anything dad?" she asked in a cold voice.
"Don't call me dad. Make sure to come in time otherwise you have to face the consequences." Her father did not try to hide his hatred and hung up the phone without giving her any chance to reply. Ling Xe tried her best to control her emotional tense. Her past self might not be able to bear this kind of behavior but reality has chanced her wholly in those three years. After being framed by those beasts, she was kicked out of her house. At that time no one was by her sight to support her. Even her childhood sweet-heart Jan Ran proved himself as a traitor at the most crucial time of her life. Then one day she came into the contact of a girl named Lili who helped her to settle down. She made Ling realize what it felt like to have a good friend. With Lili's support Ling slowly became strong and self-dependent. She did not bother to have any contact with her family. She was finally happy. If they dare to make trouble,she will never let them off. Deciding this,a faint smile appeared in her face. She was humming to herself as she called her bestie Lili.
"Hey girl! How was today's interview? I bet one of them have already proposed to you."
Ling laughed,"Don't be silly. It went good. I think i have to cancel the blind date you've arranged for me today."
"What! You're kidding right? That man has made me crazy to arrange that blind date. Don't tell me you've already found someone suitable," Lili toid in a teasing voice. Ling's face turned slightly red,"Stop messing around. Dad called me a while ago to pay a visit there. I think i'll give it a try.
"Ling, have you gone insane? They've made you suffer this much and you still want to go there!" Lili became furious. She just can't imagine what's going on Ling's mind.When she found Ling three years ago. She wanted to kill those who were responsible for Ling's condition. Now that she has finally recovered from her miserable state, they are trying to contact her. Do they even have the sense of humanity? Sensing her anger, Ling told in a determined tone,"Cutie don't be angry. I will just allow them to have the taste of their own misdeeds. They will suffer more than i have."Lili felt relaxed. Ling is right. She is no longer that fragile girl who could be bullied easily.
"Okay. Just come back safely. You still have to treat me to a dinner,"her was teasing but full of concern.
"I know. Take care." Ling hung up her phone happily. She was feeling much better after discussing the matter with Lili. She went to the kitchen to make lunch. But when she opened the fridge, she found there nothing except some ice cubes. Last night she was so busy preparing for her interview that she didn't have the time to go to the market. Now she had totally forgotten to buy something at her way. How could be she so careless! With an annoyed mind she looked at her watch. There is no way she would go to the market at this hour. Also she didn't have the energy to do so. There must be something to eat at home. After searching for a while, she found a cup of instant noodles. Ling Xe sighted helplessly. Maybe she had to take it to suppress her hunger for now. He finished her eating and came back to her room. She laid down on her bed as she felt exhausted. She did not have a good rest the past few days because of staying up late at night due to study. She was feeling a little dizzy. When she closed her eyes,she fell into a deep sleep. The small apartment of her became quite again. The cozy environment looked as if it was trying to hide this sleeping beauty from the sinful touch of the outside world. It was almost around 7:00 p.m. when Ling Xe woke up. She was still a little sleepy. As she was going to lye down again, she suddenly remembered about her father's call. She was supposed to go there in the evening but she had lost the track of time. When did she turn into this kind of woman! She came down from her bed and began changing. From her father's speech,it looked like a lame drama would be staged tonight. It would be best for her to be prepared for this kind of situation. She wore a beautiful white gown which had made her beauty more mature. The simple diamond necklace on her white neck added a touch of nobility in her appearance. She placed her brown hair at one side of her shoulder and put on a pair of diamond ear-ring. Looking at the mirror, Ling smiled. Now it's time to witness the drama of Xe family. Ling pleasingly thought to herself as she left her apartment for the Xe mansion.
