Chapter 66 - The siblings has forfeit

Ezekiel groaned in his deep slumber, fluttering his eyes opened, his eyes meet the starry sky, while hearing the fire crackling of a bonfire. "Where am I?" He asked, doesn't aware of his surrounding, "You're awake, great." Zeolite's monotone voices interrupted his thoughts. Ezekiel jolted when he heard his voice and crawled away from him, terrified.

Zeolite sighed, "Jeez, no need to be like that." Ezekiel body slowly relaxed, one thought is bugging him from the start. "You didn't kill me?..." He asked, in disbelief. Zeolite steals glances at him and close the book on his right hand. "No. Why should I?" He said, surprising Ezekiel with his responds.

"What? Then why did you kill the entire Ametano Town?" Ezekiel asked, wanting to know what's behind his actions before. Zeolite thinks for a while, should he tells him or not and look straight at him, "That alone…I don't know." He shrugs, he himself doesn't understand why he killed the entire Ametano Town.

"Why you…!" Ezekiel gritted his teeth, pissed by his responds. "There's no such response!" He shouted, he rushed at Zeolite, as Zeolite let him do what he wanted to do. Ezekiel grabs his collars up, and slammed him onto the plane's body. "Tell me why!" He shouted, demanding answers from him.

Zeolite stares into his eyes, seeing angers swelling up inside. "Sicarius Order. You know them?" He asked, calmly. "I know them. Bunch of shitheads that kills peoples for fun, or for their own purpose that's so f*cking weird." Ezekiel replied to him, getting more pissed. "What if I told you I was one of them?" Zeolite asked, getting amused on seeing his reactions.

Ezekiel widened his eyes, his teeth were gritted. "Then you're worst than shithead! You worthless scum!" He shouts throwing him to the side, as Zeolite's back hit the tree, causing him to cough out blood. His half lidded eyes look up to Ezekiel who walks closer to him, holding his sword on his right hand.

"…You know…That's not the full story. When I was 7 they killed my parents and take me with them, with force. They tortured me almost every minutes, in order to make a good member they say." Zeolite chuckled, remembering his dark past, while Ezekiel is listening to him, the grips on his sword loosened when he told him his story. "Then? What else?" He asked, wanting to know the real reasons.

Zeolite scoffed, "Impatient, aren't you?" Ezekiel clicks his tongue, "Tell me more, or I'll kill you." He said, threatening him. "I won't let you kill me. You're not the one who I wanted to die at." Zeolite said, rejecting to die in his hand. "Like you will last long with me!" Ezekiel shouted, completely lose his patience with him.

Zeolite ignores him and continue his story, "They continue the same progress each day, torturing, training, and feed us just a simple pieces of bread. Surprisingly, there was many kids there, I pitied them, but what can I do? I can do nothing. After 1 year or so, I begin to lose my emotions, due to lack of happiness I received. Another 1 year passed, I've been there for 2 years. They begin to force me to kill people, and I did." Zeolite paused, stealing glances at Ezekiel, who is in a sitting positions, he seems to pay much attentions to Zeolite's story.

"After 2 years, I was 10 before, things started to feels ecstasy according to what my past self feels, he began to feels joy in killing, and because of his madness in killing, peoples begin to call him, "Monster", right? His ecstasy ends when he meets someone. That someone changes his perspectives, that someone made him realizes what he done, that someone made him regretted what he did, that someone successfully drags him out from the dark abyss. One question lay deep within his heart, "Why not killing me?" That someone replied, "You're still so young. You can still change, I'll give you time, and If you doesn't change. I will come back to you and kill you." That someone disappears from his sights, as he vowed, "Never ever I killed people again." Well, that's the short version." Zeolite said, ending his story.

"Why are you telling your story at 3rd perspective?" Ezekiel asked, it's his story, so why telling it in 3rd perspective? Zeolite sighed, "I just, don't want to be recognizes as my past self." He shrugs, "That's some ego you have." Ezekiel said, still pissed at him. "it can't be help." Zeolite shrugs once again.

"So…You're still at fault too?" Ezekiel asked, questioning him about his madness. "I supposed I am. But I regret it." Zeolite said, admitting it. "Tch." Ezekiel clicked his tongue and looks away. "Oh, there's someone that awfully similar to you." Zeolite said, pointing to someone across him.

"Similar to me?" Ezekiel asked, looking at the directions Zeolite's pointed at and see his sister. "Sis! Why are you here?" He asked, quickly standing up. "Get away from him!" Eloise yelled, telling her brother to get away from Zeolite. "But! I still have things to asks him!" Ezekiel shouted back, still have questions to asks for him. "There's no need for that! Get away from him! Should I count to 5?!" Eloise yelled, losing her patience.

Ezekiel sighed in defeated, looking back at Zeolite who is sitting there calmly, not fazed by the fights the siblings have. "Fine. Let's go." He said, giving up and walk near his sister. As the two walk away, leaving Zeolite there, as he walk to where his book is at, since he dropped it when Ezekiel slammed him onto the plane's body.

"Oh dear. It's all dusty." He sighed, dusting the book off before putting it back inside his back pocket. "Good thing it doesn't ripped off." He said and look at the sunrise. "Seems like hours has passed." He said, staring at it with a smile plastered on his face.

'Hope none of them overheard my story…it won't lead to fortunate moments…' He thoughts, worried if his friends knows about his past, and unfortunately, someone in the team is listening his story from the start.

"Damn! Morning has come!" Ashley said cheerfully and stretches her body. "Are there any town or something nearby?" Chiharu asked, since they needed food supply for their journey. "Oh! I see a building before! Want me to get there?" Hector said, poking his head in, "Be quick. Go with someone." Chiharu said, shooing him away by waving her right hand. "Then, Theresa! Let's go!" Hector cheerfully walk to Theresa, who is in deep thoughts, and is caught by surprises when Hector calls her multiples times.

"Ah, sorry. What was it again?" She asked, her usual smile on her face, "What's with you? Something bugged your mind?" Hector asked, worried about her, Theresa quickly put both her palms in front of her, "No, no! I'm perfectly fine!" She said, assuring him. "Is that so? Then! Let's get to the building we saw before!" Hector beamed excitedly, luckily Hector doesn't suspects her any longer, or else. "Of course!" Theresa smiles and stand up from her seat.

Hector walk past her, walking cheerfully, while humming a song, Arkus is asleep above his head, as Theresa steals some glances at Zeolite, who is tidying up the camp, Theresa's brows furrowed, thoughts were bugging her ever since last night, she shakes her head, remembering what should she do and went after Hector.

While Zeolite put down the burnt wood on the side and looks at Theresa's back, who is walking side by side with Hector. 'Seems like she overheard last night story…' He thoughts, getting uneasy. 'This can be bad…'

"Master Zosce. Two mercenary has backed down on the task." Isla said, holding a note in her hands, holding it close to her chest. "What a shame, they were good though." Zosce sighed in displeasure. He hummed some melody and sips the glass of wine he holds in his right hand. As something comes up in his mind, "Oh, can you call Tendou here?" He asked, he suddenly have some topic that he wanted to discuss with him.

"Of course. Please excuse me." Isla bowed before walking onto the door across Zosce's throne, and leaves Zosce's room.

Zosce smirked and take another sip from the glass of wine. "Wouldn't it'll be fun if a daughter and father meets each other?"

"Whoa! It's a town!" Hector shouted, surprised, as he see the town from afar. "It's really is!" Theresa said, surprised too. "Let's get there!" Hector grinned, grabbing her arm and drags her with him, running into the town. "Hector! Calm down!" Theresa yelled while getting dragged, "No times to wait!" Hector replied, slicing the trees in front of him, slicing every obstacle in front of him.

"Ugh. These wires are frustrating!" Chiharu protested, tugging the wires harshly. "The wires not gonna repair themselves, you know?" Zeolite said, leaning on the door side, with his arms crossed. "Jeez, I know it! No need to tell me you smartass!" Chiharu yelled, annoyed by his attitudes. "Well, you seems troubled. Want me to help?" He asked, offering her a help.
