Chapter 86 - To Meet The Past...

Cally took in a deep breath before she went inside Ray's cabin.

"Good morning, Dr Caroline..." He said as he looked up a bit while examining the file in his hands.

"Dr Ray I-" She hesitated.

Ray looked up at her and realised she was quite nervous about something. She looked here and there and rubbed her hands together in nervousness.

"What happened? You don't seem quite confident as usual?" He took out his specs and put it aside.

"Umm...can I.."

"What? Is there something in which you need my permission?" He questioned and she immediately nodded.

He looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"Can I take Leo out with me somewhere?" she spilt it out in one breath and clenched her eyes in fear.

Though she stood always being confident in front of Ray she was still afraid of him. Ray kept looking at afraid Cally and was shocked to see her being nervous and afraid in front of him. Seeing this side of her he slightly chuckled.

Cally opened her eyes a bit by bit and found Ray laughing at her as he closed his file and kept it aside.

"Where...do you want to take him?" He asked.

"Umm...I can't exactly tell you, but...its somewhere out of the country, or...continent I would say..." She hesitates again.

"What?!" He laughed again.

"Continent?!" She nodded meekly.

Rubbing his forehead with one finger he said, "It seems a bit difficult since he has always been the most violent patient of our hospital maybe...director won't let him be out there alone with you..."

"But-"

"But?" He asked as she paused.

"He...hasn't harmed anyone in last few weeks. He...is all cured now and there's only one thing left right now..."

"What?"

"To make him cry over his past."

Ray frowned in confusion.

"What does that mean?" He crossed his arms and laid back on his chair.

"Can I?" She pointed at the empty chair kept just in from of him, he nodded.

She quickly took the seat and started explaining.

"Ever since he lost his parents and his sister, he hasn't cried much. He was mentally pressurised in his childhood to accept the accusation of his sister's murder on him." Ray grew serious, his face showed stern expressions.

"He has been keeping all his pain inside leading to the great depression and that is why he has been so violent all this time. Actually Ray we all were wrong about him, he was...never mentally ill, he...he just needs to cry his pain out and move on, else...it will create more and more pressure on him. Nothing else."

Ray leaned forward on his table, "I see...and that is why you want to take him out?

She nodded, "Being trapped in that room all this time he feels terrible, and so... I want him to see the world outside." She concluded.

"Well...but still...the hospital authority won't allow him to be out there, his records aren't that-"

"There might be some way Ray please help me out this time..." She pleased interrupting in between

He took in a deep breath, "I haven't completed yet. I said the authority won't allow it, but I do. So...take him with you and I'll handle everything here."

Ray smiled, Cally's eyes twinkled with happiness and she smiled brightly.

"Thank you, Dr Ray!" She stood up and ran outside.

*knock knock*

Cally slightly knocked and the door was quickly opened by Leo.

"Hey! come out. Everyone's asleep so... let's go."

Opening the door, not fully, Leo came out wearing his best clothes, after all, he was stepping outside legally after a long time.

They walked out of the hospital and found Ray standing there, as Leo saw him he stopped in fear.

Cally looked at him and frowned in confusion,

"He...might see us..." He feared.

And just then, Ray looked at them, "Where are you both leaving late at night?" He questioned joking around.

"Umm...Dr Ray..."

"Hold up Dr Cally...I'm asking Leo." He showed Cally his palm asking her to stop and she quickly understood.

Leo looked down, "Dr...we..."

"We?!" He slightly raised his voice and Leo looked up in fear making Ray chuckle.

Rays smiled, he patted Leo's shoulder, "Don't be afraid buddy, it's fine. You're alright and you have the whole right to move around now."

Leo looked up and smiled slightly, "We are getting late and I have something else to say to you, Ray..." Cally interrupted.

He shifted his gaze at her and Cally took his away from Leo, "I won't be in contact with anyone for almost a month. I need to give him full attention, so...on my behalf please look after my mom, I could've asked Lisa or Sarah but since they are not here and are busy in their problems...I've got only you..."

"Don't worry, Go and come back safely." He patted her head.

Cally nodded and went towards the taxi with Leo.

*****

"Hello, mom! Yeah...how's everyone? I won't be coming hospital so...I called you.

"Why something happened?" Margaret worried.

"Nope just...I will be out somewhere for at least a month."

"Where...where are you going all of a sudden, Caroline?"

"I can't tell you right now mom, so just please bear this last thing from my side..."

"I know I should be there with Sarah but...she has all of you and, I have to look after someone who has just me right now. I hope you understand so...please don't wait for me or...call me. I'll be out of range for a month." She informed.

"But Cally...at least tell mommy, where are you going?" She was quite a lot worried.

"Don't worry mom I'll be back safely..."

"But-"

"I'm getting late, mom..."

"Bye, take care..."

And the call went declined.

Cally sighed deeply and looked at Leo who sat beside her. He was quite scared,

"You're....flying the first time?" She questioned and he nodded clenching his eyes.

Cally chuckled slightly and held his hand, "Don't worry, it's nothing." She smiled and Leo relaxed in his seat.

"By the way where are we going, Caroline?" He questioned.

"Hmm... let's see...just think, we are going to meet the past." She said and smiled as she looked in front leaving Leo in confusion.

And before he could ask anything the plane took off leaving Leo to clench his eyes and held on to Cally's hand tightly...
