Cally kept seated at her place and smiled slightly as she heard the answer of Leo.
"How do you know?" She teased him.
"Wha-what?" He stuttered.
"See I heard what you said."
Leo sighed in frustration and stood up to go.
"What was the result? Did you pass the exam?" She questioned and Leo got froze at his place.
"Ho-how did you-"
"I read everything from that diary of yours and I know that you're that boy who wrote the diary. You used to live in China, correct. But it's just the half story, and...I know who can tell me the other half."
Cally stood up and went towards him. She stood in front of him and looked at him who was looking down.
"I know that you're in pain, but trust me only if you'll share it you can get out of here, of the darkness."
"So you've to tell me, what happened? Did you meet her at the riverbank?"
Leo kept looking down while shivering a little, he was in agony. Cally held his shoulders tight and tilted her head to look him into his eyes. It was a bit surprising that nor Leo was angry about the fact that she read his diary neither he was asking her to leave the room. Today, he just stood there like the little Leo used to stand in front of Luna whenever he used to be sad or used to miss his beloved parents.
"Leo!" She whispered.
"I-'m sorry..." His breath hitched because of his silent wails.
"What happened?" She asked in a low voice.
Leo looked up and his eyes got locked in the green eyes of Cally, as soon as he saw Cally' green eyes he hugged her tightly.
Cally was shocked by his such behaviour, it was something he had never done before.
'What happened to him today?' She thought as she slowly took her hands on his back and rubbed him slightly.
He jerked again and Cally frowned in worry and confusion,
"Leo...what happened?"
"She never deserved to die." He sniffed his runny nose.
"I was...just too coward to save her..." His quivered.
"Who-who died?"
"I-I never killed Luna..."
Now Cally was getting a gist of the diary, She held his shoulders and pushed him back to stand straight.
"What had exactly happened? Tell me everything..."
Leo sniffed as he looked at her,
"That day...I had gone to the riverbank. She was there too, waiting for me. But before I could say anything she hid me behind a tree, I stood there looking at her struggling and fighting from those gangsters because of me, she was saving me..."
"Gangsters, who were those gangsters?..."
"My dad had taken some loan from them... but-but before he could pay them...he and mom died in a flood."
"Their bodies washed away with the water and they were never found, ever again. That man that came to take me with him but Luna....she resisted. She died because of me...."
Cally still was a bit confused and so she asked further,
"But then...who thinks you killed her. It was that man, wasn't he?
"He shot her right on her chest...." His voice hitched again
"And she fell on the ground. I ran out to help her but the villagers heard the sound of a gunshot and they came running to the riverbank. The man was afraid of being caught and so he threw the gun towards me and pushed Luna into the river. I was...so furious that I held the gun to shot him but he ran away and the villagers held me."
"I never killed anyone, I am not a psychopath..." He declared.
As he said those words Cally remembered her first visit to Leo, how he declared that he was not a psychopath with anger in his eyes. And now this same person stands in front of her again saying those same words but with tears in his eyes.
Cally wiped out his tears and cupped his face to make him look at her,
"You are not insane, and trust me...I'll make everyone understand this by hook, or by crook."
The determination in her eyes made Leo relax a bit. He was not surprised to see Cally saying those words. Cause since the day she came to him he knew that Cally was not like everyone, she was someone different her green eyes assured him that she is not like others he just like Luna who will understand him.
But being like a closed book all these years he wasn't able to open up quickly to her, it was like his ownself wanted him to open up but be an introvert at the same time.
Leo hugged her tight, and Cally caressed his back assuring him everything will be alright. Little she was teared up too but she somehow managed to control her emotions.
"No one has the right to trap you in this room, I'll get you out of here." She whispered and sniffed her runny nose.
"Thanks...Caroline..." He barely whispered.
They were still hugging each other when Cally's phone rung. Wiping her tears she picked the call coming from an unknown id.
"Hello?"
"Hello Cally, Emma this side. There's an emergency can you help out..."
Cally's eyes widened by what Emma informed her about, she quickly declined the call and looked at Leo,
"Leo if I...go out for a while will you wait for me?"
Leo looked at her, his eyes resisted while he just slightly nodded. She knew that leaving Leo behind right now isn't a decent decision but for Sarah and Niall she had to.
She left ran through the stairs and bumped into Lisa.
"Woah, girl! Calm down. What's the rush?" Lisa asked.
Cally panted and just said, "Niall...needs...his- his mother. He is going court."
"Court? What happened?" Lisa asked.
"Check out the news."
"Oh! Okay!" Lisa said while Cally ran outside the hospital towards her car.

Here Merilyn who was at Sarah's home was roaming back and forth in the hall. Hannah had left in a hurry and had asked her not to leave the house on her own. She was panicked about why she left in a hurry and now she wasn't even picking up her calls. She kept walking when suddenly Cally barged inside.
"Aunt! You have to come with me..."
"Caroline...what happened?" She asked being worried.
"I don't have time to explain you right now. Just...follow me. I have to take you somewhere right now or it will be too late." Cally said and grabbed Merilyn's wrist dragging her out of the house.

While at the old farmhouse Drake took his mother out and made her sit in the car while Jeremy had held Sarah who was still in shock of what happened earlier. He grabbed her by her shoulder and walked her towards his car.
As they left the sight some men who were hiding all this came out and one of them said,
"Now what?"
"Maam had said, that if she gets caught then not to get involved with her again. She has said she'll handle it on her own." The other responded.
Here Flora who was sitting in the car had no remorse for what she did instead she had a slight smirk plastered on her face. No one knew what was she up to...
