'Are you still not going to tell me?' Sarah being totally frustrated.
She has been sitting quietly in Sam's car for like fifteen minutes now and he has been driving continuously without uttering a word and plastering a smile on his face.
'Sam!!' She screamed her lungs out making Sam scared.
'Wha-wha-what?!' He abruptly applied break on his unstoppable speed and parked the car on the side while his tires made a screeching sound.
'Why are you screaming all of a sudden?" He asked and turned towards her with widened eyes.
'Will you now tell me where are we going?" She asked being a bit furious.
'Oh! 'bout that we've already reached there, I'm just wandering around a bit.' And he started laughing.
'Let's go.'
'Wa-wandering around?!' She blinked her eyes twice, just can't believe why Sam was acting all foolish.
He finally parked the car in a building and went towards Sarah's side to get her out.
'I can't even imagine, what you're up to.' She shook her head as she gave her and to Sam to get out of the car.
'You'll soon see it, but first, let's go to my apartment. It's just up there. Actually...someone's waiting for you up there.' Sam said and scratched his neck lightly.
'Waiting for me? Who?'
Sarah asked and only one name popped up in her mind, Niall. But then why would he be here when he's at his mother's death anniversary. Sarah thought. And suddenly she remembered that she had to go to Niall to ask about aunt Merilyn's story.
Moving towards the lift she suddenly stopped,
'What happened?' Sam asked.
'Nothing but...can we wrap it up a bit earlier, I have to go somewhere.' Sarah said and Sam sighed in frustration.
'Oh-kay, as you wish ma'am!' He said the word ma'am sarcastically and Sarah smiled at his reply.
'So let's just go and wrap up the meeting quickly.' She said and jumped into the building.
'You seem quite in a hurry.' Sam said as he clicked the fifth-floor button.
Sarah simply nodded and the doors of the lift closed.
After two minutes they were finally standing in front of a door.
'Shall we?' Sarah asked.
'Ladies first!' Sam motioned his hand and smiled.
Sarah rolled her eyes and went inside. As soon as she stepped into the room and lights turned on on itself and everyone screamed,
'Glad to have you back, Sarah!'
'Wait what?!'
Three people were standing in front of her, Emma, Lisa and Ray while others were standing behind them.
'Glad to have you back healthily, Sarah.' Sam whispered from behind.
Sarah started to smile out bright and started laughing a bit due to happiness.
'You all prepared this all for me?' She asked.
'Yes Sarah, just to make you realize how much we missed you when you were admitted in the hospital.
Everyone came one by one hugged her or gave her present or some just came and talked to her. After fifteen minutes two girls yelled from somewhere,
'How can you all forget us?!'
Sarah turned around to find Cally and Anna standing.
'Cally! Anna!' Sarah exclaimed.
They both smiled and Cally said,
'Now don't start to cry, we meet every day.'
Sarah laughed and hugged both of them.
'There you go, girl. Let's celebrate.' Cally gave a bottle of wine to Sarah and asked her to open it up to start the party.
As the cork of the bottle popped out everyone exclaimed in the chorus and soon music and snacks took over the silence.
Everyone was dancing when all of a sudden a girl shouted,
'Samuel Miller!'
Everyone turned towards her as she glared at Sam who was standing in front of her probably was dancing with everyone along with the beat.
'I knew it!'
'I knew it, that the reason behind why you rejected me was not something related to me. It was perhaps related to you!' She kept yelling.
'Mel, I guess you're drunk let me take you home.' James said one of her friend, and also Mel and Sarah's company colleague.
'No, I'm not! You can see that...that I'm still standing alright.' She said.
'So, where was I?'
Everyone went quiet even the music, she was now the centre of attraction. Some girls started laughing and whispering at her such reckless behaviour.
Everyone in the office knew that Mel had a huge crush on Sam and also that Sam had rejected her saying that he wasn't interested in dating.
'Samuel Miller, the breathtakingly handsome man in our company, once said to me that he wasn't interested in dating. I never inquired further, why, cause I had always respected his choice.'
A tear dropped down her eye. Sam came forward and said,
'Mel, I know it hurts you, but let's stop it already.' He said and grabbed her wrist to take her out of the house.
'Nope!' She jerked to get rid of her grip.
'Let me finish.' She exclaimed furiously and Sam looked at her.
'You said, you weren't interested in me or not even in dating, why did you...' She looked at him with furrowed brows and continued
' Lie, Sam.' She said.
'You could've explained to me even for once, at least it could have prevented everyone from making fun of mine.'
'It could've saved my reputation in the company.'
'Do you all know what secret he had been hiding from us?' She asked and looked at everyone.
'All these days when he had made his distances with everyone, do you know what he had been hiding from all of us?' As she said everyone started to whisper.
While Sarah, Lisa and Cally seemed a bit afraid of what she was about to say. Ray and Anna on the other side looked confused about whatever was happening around.
'He is gay!' She exclaimed and everyone present in the room gasped and soon whispers went double,
'What?'
'What the hell?'
'He is gay?'
'No wonder, he had been keeping his distances with every woman at the workplace.'
Sam looked at Mel disgustingly.
'How could you?' He barely whispered.
Everyone looked at Sam with a slight disgust in their eyes. As everyone knows that society still hasn't excepted a guy being bisexual. In there state of mind being a bisexual is an offence.
'Shut up!' Suddenly Lisa yelled. She came forward and slapped Mel.
And soon Mel realised what gibberish she had just now spilt out.
'How could say such things without any proof?'
'You're just taking your revenge because he rejected you? That is so lame of you Mel!'
'Who do you think you're fooling, what do you think we don't know him?' Sarah spoke up
'I've been friends with quite a long time and I know what he thinks about women, you are No. One. To judge.' Emma pointed a finger on her.
'Let's go, Sam, she just ruined everything.'
She said and they were about to leave when Mel spoke up again.
'You need proof?'
'Then go ask your brother, Emma!' She said her name sarcastically.
Of course, Mel had to protect herself from getting ruined again. Emma looked at her in disbelief.
'Yeah,' She continued.
'Jeremy told me this...' She proclaimed out of nowhere...
