I stood beside his bed, it was the second day since I took over his case. Its report file doesn't say much just,
'Name: Leo Rockwell.
Age: 26
Parents: Not known.'
His condition said that he is a psychopath who is quite violent, he never spoke much with doctors. His interactions with doctors are nearly zero. I sighed at thoughts about the hardships I have to face to cure him. I looked at his face, he was sleeping quite deeply. I felt a bond with him though I met just yesterday and his first impression was not that good. I wasn't even able to see him clearly cause the room was still dark. The nurse had told me not to pull the curtains and let the sunshine come in cause he hates sunlight and it could make him go violent again.
I was about to wake him up so that I could start his treatment when he started shivering and whispering something. I bent closer to him to listen to what he was saying when he again held my neck and screamed,
'Why?!!'
His tight grip didn't let me breathe again...
*****
'It was your Dad's decision, girl.' The man said, his accent was a bit of Portuguese. He was wearing a black robe and a black hat accompanied by a black mask that hid his identity completely.
They were on a shore of a narrow river that was covered by spring cherry trees. The river was narrow but its flow was quite fast. He held her hair from the back of her head tightly and placed the point of the gun on her chest, I could see everything from behind a tree to the left but I was scared to face that man.
But she stood against him strongly and yelled,
'You dirty people dragged my father into this. He wasn't a scum like you all.'
He pulled her hair more tightly and she wailed while a tear dropped down her left eye.
'You are crossing lines now!' He yelled back at her.
'Don't forget I can end your childhood here and no one will know.' He said as he clenched his jaw
'End it!!' She yelled back.
'I won't mind. But I won't let you take him.' She was fighting for me and I stood there still.
'Let's see, he loves you a lot so...I guess he'll come out if you get hurt.' He said in a gravelly voice and shot her right in the heart.
I screamed and went out. He looked at me and smirked while I looked at her with teary eyes. He put his hand away from her and she fell on the ground covering her chest with her hands. She was panting and there was blood everywhere. The lemon yellow dress which she was wearing was now all covered with blood. There was some blood sprinkled on the pale-colored face of her. Her hair which was tied up in a bun with flowers in it was now all messed up. The flowers shattered on the ground as she fell and her hair opened up and landed on the ground with her. Just then she saw me. As soon as she saw me she just screamed with teary eyes,
'No!!'
It was spring and so the wind blew. And whenever it happened the spring cherry trees shook and it's flower landed on the floor. Though people talk about its beauty still I hate them. The way they made fun of her who was dying on the ground made me furious.
I clenched my hands into fists and tears rolled down one by one from my eyes.
The man was walking towards me and I stood there,
'Run Leo!!' She yelled but my feet got frozen at a particular place I looked at him and back at her being confused about what to do.
He approached me and before he could do anything I held his throat and screamed,
'Why?!!'
suddenly I heard someone calling me with a wheezy voice. I shook a bit and opened my eyes immediately and found Caroline coughing as I got my hands away from her.
*****
Leo sat upright quickly and rubbed Caroline's back who was coughing right now.
'You're okay? I'm sorry I- I didn't mean too.' He said and sighed in frustration.
Cally sat in bed beside Leo while he offered her a glass of water.
'I've told the nurse to make sure that no one is near me when I'm sleeping.' He said restlessly as he looked out of the door which was currently ajar.
After recovering from what Cally could say near death she asked just one question to Leo who was still looking restlessly with furrowed brows outside to find the nurse.
'Who was he?'
Leo stopped for a second and looked at Her with the same furrowed eyes without even changing his expressions even a bit.
'In the dream...who was he?' She continued further.
'What dream? About whom, you're asking?' He said and stood up to started to walk.
'The man whose throat you were ready to slice.' She said and Leo stopped at his place
He turned his head around to his left side a bit and said,
'None of your business.'
He then walked simply towards the washroom located in his room to the right side of his bed.
'I was there too.' Cally said.
'They.' she sighed in hesitation.
'They used to bully me for being a witch.'
'For telling about what a person is thinking just after observing their expressions.'
'I was called dumb too, I was hit by those arrogant too. But, at last...I let out all my pain to someone who helped me.'
After telling there was a silence in the room for a minute. But after realizing that whatever she told had no effects on Leo, and she saw him simply walking towards the restroom without showing any feelings, she accepted her defeat and sighed in sadness.
She stood up and walked towards the door of the room to get out. Leo walked inside the restroom and before he could close the door Cally, who was about to leave the room, looked at him who was still showing his back to her, and said,
'Let your feelings feel some freedom just as I did some years ago.'
And she left the room closing the door behind her. Leo turned around to take a glimpse of her but....she was gone. A tear rolled down up to his chin and stayed there until he shook off the thoughts of his gray past.
He went in and closed the door. He squats down against the door and said,
'It's hard to make people understand but.' He took a deep breath.
'It's easier to make people believe.'
His feelings were led out in those two sentences. His pain that he felt whenever someone called him psycho, his helplessness when he wasn't able to talk out his feelings well with others. Everything, in just two lines, was led out.
He closed his eyes and just a faded face came up in front of him, with jade green eyes, pale skin wearing a lemon yellow robe, and her black hair tied up in a bun with those spring flowers which made her the most beautiful out of all. She was his whole world, his whole family which now appeared as a faded memory in his dreams...
