Chapter 60 - The Conversation

Agatha comes back with a tray holding three glasses of hot tea. She hands each of us one before she sits back down. Her legs crossed, and she asks, "I never expected that Faye would be back here."

"And instead this time, she brings Rosetta's child," she added while she sips on her tea. 

I wrap my hands around the warm cup, "you must have a lot of questions," I tell her with a slight smile. 

She nods her head slowly, "if you don't mind me asking?"

"I don't mind at all," I respond.

Agatha has every right to know why we visited. I know that she'll be heartbroken once she knows about what happened to my mother. The look on her face still hopes for a chance that she may be alive, that smile she holds on her face, she's eager to know.

Telling the tragic story to those who knew and looked up to my mother is the most challenging part of meeting them. They may have been expecting her to be back; however, she no longer can.
