Chapter 81 - Life For A Life

I watch her disappear into the cloudy water that thickens every second, concealing the dubious chicanery that's happening within the metal gates. 

My delusions are getting ahead of me, and this emotion is making me seem like a fool. Questionable, the word I'd like to call this erratic feeling of mine. It changes whenever I see that girl, and it's causing me to drift away from my mission every time. 

Regret, anger, pity.

Of all the beings that could have been placed in this tough decision, that one lucky soul had to be me. I thought my life was becoming normal than it was before. I no longer felt the agony and pain until that day where the change took place, and I knew that there was no more hope. 

"What is wrong with you?" Faye suppressed herself from shouting as her expression turned from anger to confusion upon seeing my face.
