Rhys offers me some breakfast, but I politely turn it down, not feeling an appetite at the moment. But, he only glares daggers at me, giving me a look that could kill if I don't eat anything. He mutters something under his breath about it being lunchtime.
And so I take it without saying another word, to which he nods with satisfaction on his smile. I stared at the plate of eggs, beans, and brown bread when the thought came to me. This scene feels familiar.
"I wasn't asleep for another week, was I?"
Rhys pauses; he opens his hands, pretending to count the number of days with his fingers, and my eyes widen, "I think you were asleep for a month?" he responds with a plain shrug.
"A month!" I shrieked with mouth agape.
I was asleep for a month, and that would mean a month wasted. We barely got to the underwater kingdom, and yet I was already in a coma. We were only going to stay here for a week as planned.
