Creatures are starting to fill the bottom floor of the castle. I can hear their carriages arriving and multiple heels clicking on the main hall downstairs. Some loudly greet each other as if it's their first time meeting after a long while.
A man's voice, in particular, boomed, reaching the second floor with its loudness when he demanded to see the king. I reckon he wanted to come up when I heard metallic sounds of guards blocking the man by the stairs.
"Sir, no visitors are allowed to go up to the second floor. Everyone must proceed to the main ballroom, please."
After the kind knight instructed the rowdy stranger, there were no more voices that could top his, and so the usual gentle chattering carried on. Heels clicked toward the ballroom, so no one stayed long in the castle's main hall, but they are all aware that the king is still in his chambers.
I know they all want to meet him so badly.
"When are we going?"
