"Wake up!"
I jolted up with open claws to grab onto the neck of my attacker before he could touch my shoulders. Rhys choked and struggled on my tight grip until my vision cleared from the dizziness, and slowly, I released. He coughs as I study his burning red cheeks.
"Why did you wake me up that way, you fool," I smack his chest, glaring at it him with so much intensity. His eye twitches at me.
"You- when did you learn that deadly choke? That was dangerous; you almost broke my breathing tube," he says between coughs, getting out of my bed to get some air.
Rhys paces around the room while I stretch my arms and rub my eyes. As usual, I took a while to fall asleep last night, but I managed to get a few hours of rest, unlike other nights.
If only Rhys allowed me to sleep a few more, then maybe the ache that's threatening my head wouldn't be bothering me this early in the morning.
