Chapter 158 - Rescue Mission I

Silence. 

There's no haze, no cold wind brushing past us. It's incredibly humid, and the sky is clear above us. A droplet of water touches my forehead, but I don't wipe it off, nor do I peel my eyes away from the castle that's in view. 

Out of instinct, I pulled my sword out and pointed it at the being that stood behind me. Perce looked at me with wide eyes and apologetically with the slight crunch he made with his steps. 

I withdraw my sword, giving him a warning look. He's getting to my nerves since we were still on our way. I'm sure Lohene should have trained them to be quiet with their steps even when they're stepping on a ground full of dead leaves. 

There shouldn't be a sound of a crunch. 

"We wear Dazian armor; they shouldn't suspect us when we casually barge in," Julianna says, narrowing her eyes at the brightly lit field of the castle.
