Our heels clicked and echoed through the empty concaved-like walls. Ducan and I decided to take a walk around the castle until the sun goes down. The king would arrive soon from his journey. It is a journey that Ducan refuses to tell me about for the reason that it is confidential.
However, the real purpose of this walk is to flee from the place that was suffocating us. The moment I spoke about the item that caused every conflict in the center realm, the air grew thicker, and I felt lightheaded.
I can't lie when I say that I never suspected Ducan or anyone in this castle wanting to get their hands on Bohr's necklace. I tried to set that thought aside in hopes that what I believe is false.
The way Ducan's expression changed when I opened the question about my suspicion of how silent he has been with the knowledge of my necklace is nerve-wracking. I was hoping to get the creatures here to be on my side as we fight the evil being after it.
