Chapter 100 - Rhys' Misery

Ena had died.

I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't that. Ena and I weren't close, nor were we given the time to get to know each other with her being Rhys' sister. There were times that I wanted to talk to her, but she always held a daring and unapproachable face.

Despite us not knowing each other, I still mourned for her death, and I know that it must have been worse for Rhys. I've been in that spot when I lost someone that I love. It's tragic and unbearable.

But with his circumstances, he still managed to come all this way to see me. I want to question his decisions, but it would only worsen his state. If only I would have kept myself awake for a bit more, then I could have seen Rhys and do my best to comfort him through his pain.

Faye did not know the cause of Ena's death, saying that Rhys did not want to speak about it. His only intention to come to this kingdom was to check on my condition and personally see the king of Beorene.
