After about another 30 minutes my makeup was done and that's when the makeup and hair artists left.
I smiled slightly and looked at my black and purple dress. "I guess it's time for me to slip you on huh?" I say to myself, like I'm actually asking the dress a question .
I pick up the garmet that they had laid out for me and I started to slowly slip it on, my mind wondering while doing so.
I wondered about how this "get together" would go and how I would stay sane. So, much has happened in such a short span of time that I didn't even have any words. I didn't know how to react.
I finished slipping on the dress and after that, I heard knocking on my door. I took a deep breath in sighing and went over and asked, "Who is it?" and I heard a replay saying, "It's me Charles and a few other assistant Seamstress. Can we come in?"
My heart dropped hearing his voice. Charles was back again and even though I'm glad he's here,he still reminds me a lot of Rene and that made me want to cry. Rene was not just my Seamstress but my friend and what happened to her just wasn't expectable!
I know one day I'm going to go find her and ask her about what happened in that room, that will be one day, one day that day will come. But for now I want to keep Charles here. So far he has made me feel much better and more curious each time I seen him and I don't want that feeling to end anytime soon.
I got out of my thoughts and shook my head and answered Charles' question, "Of course you can come in, go ahead." I said with a cheery tone.
The gold knob turned on the door and Charles' eyes locked with mine once he entered. My face went warm a bit from embarrassment and Charles smiled, "Well, don't you look belle, Lady.Victoria, doesn't she everyone?" The assistants nodded and chatted along with Charles.
He actually got them talking and that made me smile. Usually the other assistants never talk but with Charles, it's like he can turn the most darkest of places into a place of light.
"Okay Chop, Chop! The Ball is starting in an about an hour and we need to make sure Lady.Victoria's dress is flawless before she goes down and have a chat with her mother."
I nodded along with Charles until I heard the words "Chat with her mother". My face went pale at those words and I tried to hold in my sickness. I couldn't go talk to here later, I didn't know if I deal with that right now.
Charles look at me in concern and cocked his head, "Everyone check for holes or any repair needs and Lady.Victoria again are you sure you are okay?" I nodded at Charles as the assistants checked around my dress and over some layers.
Charles did the same and after a couple of minutes he stood to the side along with the assistants and wrote down some things in his small little handbook. He gazed back into my eyes and said, "I will give this to your mother Victoria, for now you must go talk with her. She said it is urgent you see her before the gathering."
I nod at Charles holding in my contradiction, knowing the horror I will soon have to face again. Of course happiness doesn't last that long, it's all an illusion of our minds...
