I entered the room in front of me accompanied by two guards. My mother is there sitting in her furnished purple chair, with a veil over her face. She seemed to always wear a veil nowadays, every since she found out-!
"Hello daughter, how are you this morning?" She said in a honeyed voice, you can never trust someone speaking like that.
There were numerous chairs arranged in a row next to her and I sat in the one that was second farthest from her. "It was just fine mother." I looked at her with deep concern looking through her veil into her dark brown eyes. "What happened to Rene?" I said, trying to hold back tears.
My mother smiled wide and her head tilted in a sideways position.
"She decided it was best for her,if she would take off. She realized how many mistakes she was making and she didn't feel fit to continue being your seamstress." I kept my gaze on my mother, even though I wanted to look away.
Tears wanted to fill my eyes of Rene's leave, she didn't even get to say goodbye and yet she's gone now. I kept taking small breaths, slowly inhaling and exhaling. I didn't want to give my mother the satisfaction of seeing me breakdown.
"Oh, I see how unfortunate of her, well I guess she did the right thing. If she feels like she can't perform at our standards then I guess it is best." I bit my bottom lip saying those words, those lying dirty words. None of that was true, but I had to let my mother think I was agreeing with her. So, she didn't expect I was rebelling again.
She laughed at my comment, "Guess? Darling that is not a guess, it was the right decision that had to be made. No guessing involved, just acting."
I nodded in response and that's when she clapped her hands together. "In absence of Rene, I went ahead and got you a new seamstress. I figured this was going to happen because of Rene's last incident. So I went ahead and did you a favor, you're welcome." She said in a stern tone, that honeyed voice going completely away now.
I figured she planned Rene's exit, seeing how she already had a replacement. My mother knew this was going to happen, an inevitable faith coming for Rene. I knew because of this, it was going to be up to me to find her again, but I had to be precise with my search. Make no mistakes or else my security on guards would triple.
I smiled, "Oh really? Thank you mother am I going to meet he or she today? Is that why I am here?" I asked in curiosity as my mother nodded. "The seamstress is a he and he's right behind the door that door." My mother pointed to the door behind me, she then knocked on the dining table three times and waited.
What came next was a pale boy with blonde, spiky hair and an a piercing on the top right of his ear. He had dark blue eyes and was wearing a fairly suited black and blue outfit, with a matching acres crest pin.
"Victoria meet your new seamstress, Charles Dickson." My mother pointed her hand in his direction and he bowed.
This made me curious, he looked around my age and he seemed to be very at ease around my mother. I wonder if he knew the truth of this place or if he was just entering this lifeless mansion.
