Good triumphs over evil in the end.
My mom used to tell me a story about a brave Soldier . A soldier who was so brave that he could defeat 40 enemies by himself. He was posted at the India- China border in 1962 .He hated China and had made a promise to himself that he will protect the country even after his death. One day, there were some injured soldiers far away in the hills who needed help . Thus our soldier was asked to take medical kits and other necessary items to them. His horse slipped and he fell in a ditch. It was so deep that it was black even during the day . His body was not found even when all the soldiers looked it for 2 days . They were disappointed. After 2 days , he came in the dream of a soldier who was a good friend of him and told him the location of his dead body and wanted him to bury his body where he was posted to protect our country. Since then, he was protecting that part of the border and also informed the soldiers if there was any problem at the border. Moral of the story for me was , good people do good deeds even after death.
The researcher's spirit was no different for us that day. Even when he was struggling in pain,he didn't let go of the Saitan and kept holding him . So we started reading the holy mantra, "Om Namho Bhagwate Vasudevaya , "Om Namho Bhagwate Vasudevaya" as we continued this, both of the Saitan and Researcher's spirit started shrinking . They started getting smaller and smaller to the point that they became as small as a fire from a candle . In the fear of everything we never stopped reading the mantra. Then the old lady looked at me and without uttering a word, she told me what I had to do. I had the metal jar , so I slowly took it and went towards the lights and like a fire fly both the lights were captured inside the mental jar. I closed the jar with its cap . This wasn't it, we knew that the saitan can come out of it, we have seen him doing it before, so we had to trap him in a way that he was locked there forever. We were out of plans but the old lady said," come with me".
We went to her place with the metal jar in my hand. She made us sit on the couch. Meanwhile Swati said ,"I am not sure yaar, I am worried about saitan ,what if it comes out of the jar again"?I was holding it tighly applying all the pressure I could . Soon the old lady came back with a chest and some black thread. The idea of chest was pretty obvious but I wasn't able to understand what was the black thread for. I asked her ,to which she said , " this thread is very pure and magical thread, just like the tulsi chain I gave you, it can hold any power in itself". We coiled the jar with the black thread and then we placed the jar in the chest and locked it . It had 2 set of keys, keys which were very important now . Thus the old lady kept 1 and gave the other one to me. The question was where do we keep this chest now . No place was safe for this ,something had to be done. I came up with an idea of throwing it into the river ganga. It's far from us and they also say , river ganga is holy .
So the next day,me and Swati took the chest. We took a launch from Howrah to babu ghat. On the way, we dropped the chest right in the middle of the river. So it was over, Saitan was gone and so was the good spirit of the Researcher. In the name of the Researcher we started calling that old creepy house, which was spirit free, as the Researcher's Mansion. All of us started living a normal usual life. Next day I went to school, feeling so proud of myself , it wasn't just me who deserved all the credit, it was also Swati ,who was with me in the most difficult times and was truly my best friend and the old lady ,the wise old lady !!The ocean of knowledge without whom nothing was possible. While I was going through the corridor , I felt someone was following me. I looked back but I saw no one , so I started going. But again I could hear steps of someone following me, I turned again ,but no one was there . As I turned back to go ,Satvik stood in front of me . I was so scared, but he was alright . He just wanted to ask me on a date . Me, Swati and Satvik ,we decided not to discuss about the Saitan because some things are better left unsaid.
